Hi everyone, just a quick question for all of you that already received those custom quad configurations. I order a 2.66 quad with 6Gb ram, airport, wireless mouse. Apple site tells me 5-7 days for shipping. Have this estimate been correct for all of you that already received your order?

As I understand it doesn't mean that you're gonna receive your order within
5-7 days. It means that the order is gonna be ready to be shipped within 5-7 days.

Sorry, i didn't express my self properly. My question was more in the sense of knowing if the Apple timings at this point are being fulfilled or if i should expect those 5-7 days for shipping to slip some days more.

In my experience Apple Store is usually right on time, sometimes even faster.
My order says 4-7 days, and it would surprise me if they went over that...I would be really disappointed though!

Ordered on 3/12 shipped on 3/18 (day 5 of 3-5 business days apple estimated) and received on 3/24 at 3pm!

ALSO,

I ordered a 1tb WD drive and Windows vista from new egg on sunday and got it tuesday....!!! Bought Red Alert 3 today at Target!

I will also order 8 gbs Ram from OWC next month and Im going to hold off on the Apple 24in LCD display until the summer, hopefully they come out with soe kind of update, as the current display wont reach where I put my mac pro (Not On The Desk!).

Just got it monday. As in received. My G4 PB is limping as we speak.

I went with the quad (single) 2.93.
1 TB hd
24" Cinema

I would have upped the RAM but it would delay my order by 3 weeks. So, i'm now debating between crucial, kingston or OWC. Anyone got any preference? OWC says you can drop 16 in there, when I know the limit is 8.

I'll be ordering an octo 2.93 later this week, should be a good'er.

I had to put this off till yesterday, I also got a 30'' cinema display as well, it's already been shipped, which is weird because I got 12 gigs of RAM and everyone has been saying there is some sort of delay with this stuff. Should have it early next week.
