No, camping out for a phone as well, is taking things too far.
My point is simple, you're obsessing over something worth 500 dollars and have people. People are obsessing too much over a consumer toy. Its ok to LOVE an item, but this is imo too much.

If it brings me joy to dream about when I might get a cool gadget. Why not?

You don't understand their LOVE, and you have no right to question it.

Unconventional? Sure, but you'll wait in line at a grocery store for ten minutes and that's just for ordinary food. Camping weeks totally scales for a new tech device, even if it was just a fad of dubious value.

IMO, the bigger problem is your inability to appreciate enthusiasm because you seem to have some Puritan like need to throttle back unabashed excitement. You're a strange cat, might want to remember that.

For anyone still tracking this thread for flights and hopes...

Looks like planes landing in Anchorage shortly and FlightAware shows 4 flights from Anchorage to Louisville departing this afternoon and arriving overnight. Here's to more & more movement every day...

I'm hoping for something!! No charges yet and I'm at xx:19!!!!! This is killing me lol

Exactly. I'm surprised you didn't catch much flak about disagreeing with someone's opinion.
Sometimes part of the preorder fun is the comraderie that comes from places like this forum.
Everyone is so quick to pass judgment because they don't agree.

Question:

When tracking these flights, at what point should we expect  to update orders from Processing to PFS?

When they hit Anchorage or Louisville?

The pattern I have detected is we see a lot of PFS notices once the flights from AK arrive at the hubs. (Louisville, Ontario, etc.)

I hope that's true! There are currently 5 plans scheduled to arrive in Louisville tonight! (And as a May 2, WSB 42... My order might be coming up any day now!)

I am pretty sure of the 5 planes landing tonight that only one of them originated out of shenzhen. The other's come out of south korea. All watches will come from shenzhen.

I stand corrected. It looks like some flights leave shenzhen and go to South Korea then to AK.

Hm. Does this mean no luck for west coast customers? Or do California orders sometimes land in Louisville?

Based on the information on that site I would guess that the flights from Shenzhen to Anchorage directly are probably packed with apple products (given that they are on UPS planes) and that the ones that stop in South Korea have much less cargo that we care about (since they seem to be passenger planes with limited cargo hold).

That clears up a lot for me. I wasn't clear on why Flight Aware consistently had one flight from Shenzhen and then 5 flights from Anchorage, it didn't add up. I didn't think the Shenzhen flight was 5 times as big as the anchorage flights. The commuter planes to carry cargo would explain those additional flights.

Where does flight aware get its information? Do they track ALL flights originating from Shenzhen that are UPS related, or do they know specifically the flights that contain apple product, or even better apple watches?

I bet this is answered somewhere in this thread, but I've read most of it and didn't see the answer.

So based off of the popular theory... how many planes will be landing in Louisville tonight/tomorrow morning possibly carring apple watches and around what time?

They track all flights is my understanding.

Those flights listed are only UPS flight. No passenger flights. The planes all have UPS call signs and all have UPS logos etc. on the plane.

A brief show-and-tell "cool story bro."

One day a couple of weeks ago while trying to track UPS flights on flightRadar24, I noticed a plane near Las Vegas with no call sign, so I clicked on it. Turns out it was a Janet Airlines plane taking Area 51 workers back home for the day. (See below.)
That's all...sorry for the interruption...you may proceed. ;)
