Just wondering, when do people's statuses generally change? Upon arrival to Anchorage or Worldport (Louisville)?

I just analyzed a bunch of data from the 42 SS BSB thread, and in the last 10 days the vast majority of credit cards get charged between Midnight and 4AM eastern. I don't know how this fits in with the planes landing specifically.

Credit card getting charges is most often the first change people see.

Again in the last 10 days the only charges in that thread that didn't occur in the early morning hours were Tuesday of last week when there were a large bulk of orders (33 people active in the thread, the largest number for any time period) that were charged between noon and 1pm eastern. There were a few other outliers on other days.

Been posting these updates in a few threads the past few days and decided maybe it would be best to put them here and stop cluttering up the other threads for people that weren't interested.

Friday May 1st - Six UPS planes en route to Anchorage

If your credit card was charged overnight or this morning, your watch may be on one of these planes and you should likely see tracking information after the planes reach Louisville, Kentucky overnight tonight (U.S. orders, obviously).

OK so I am seeing 4 planes inbound scheduled to arrive overnight in Louisville.

Do we know about how many watches arrive on each plane?

about what time should we see a CC charge on our account once the pallets are unloaded and sorted?

:)

I don't think there's a way to know just how many watches per plane there are. The charges and PFS change typically occur any time between 11:00 or so PST and through the morning. (based on what I've seen posted in other threads re: time of notifications)

I don't think we even know if there are ANY Apple products in any particular plane. I believe the tracking just shows the UPS flights out of specific airports en route to Worldport.

Surely, there are many more packages coming out of Shenzen than just Apple products.

That being said, I'm sure that some of the planes have some Watches but only Apple and UPS know how many.

Another thing to consider is that the flights with watches on are likely originating from Taiwan, where the manufacturer is. (Quanta.)

Correct but I believe Quanta operates multiple manufacturing facilities in southern China as well...

Huh! So they do. I wonder if they're making the watches at more than one plant...

All the descriptions of Apple manufacturing activity that I have seen in the news have said that the watches are made in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China (which is not in Taiwan, but on the southern mainland. Guangdong is the region that Americans call "Canton" — as in "Cantonese cuisine").

Pending charge on my CC since about 1 p.m. yesterday, but store still shows processing. Guessing I won't get it until Wednesday next week now.

The starting point for Apple Watches getting to the US is Shenzhen Bao'an Int'l. Doesn't matter how many flights originate from Anchorage if their haven't been any inbound flights from Shenzhen. You can track UPS flights from Shenzhen to Anchorage at this link:

The bad news is that the most recent flight from Shenzhen landed in Anchorage at 12:39PM local time on Thursday, May 21. I would expect multiple flights from Shenzhen in the next few days.

It really seems like the flights out of Shenzen have slowed done in the past week. I keep expecting a deluge to pop up on the tracker, but it never happens.

A couple of folks have posted today that their watch is coming out of Shanghai. Could be that Quanta has shifted some production to another factory.

Mine is in Lousiville and supposed to be delivered in Seattle tomorrow. It spent 30 hours in China, 28 in anchorage and now 12 hours in Louisville. Ridiculous. Move it along.

I have no idea when it has to leave Lousiville by to actually get delivered here in Seattle tomorrow.

As our watches seem to be on vacation together both arriving in Seattle, It looks like it left KY at 3:21PM WoooHoo. On its way. At least my "We left your package at our facility, Delivery has been delayed a day" notice appears to be corrected with the new "import scan" and departure.
