Order went through at about 2:03 am cst. My Verizon app says processing. Had a email from Verizon saying my credit card failed. Capital one sent a email tonight saying potential fraud. I okayed the payment. Called Verizon and payment accepted. The cs rep said my phone is in the distribution center now waiting to ship. My Verizon app says processing.

The confirmation *page* I saw Friday morning did say something about some charge being on my next bill but I thought that the tax would be charged upfront. It isn't a new line but it is a new Device Payment Plan; I just payed off my previous one a few days before.
The tax is charged at the time of purchase. That is the case for all, as far as I know. The activation fee is what you will see on the next bill, which may or may not be prorated.

So random question. So what do you guys think when the iPhone 9 comes out! Does it look like the 8 or do they stick with the x design. ?

Now I'm really worried then, I am pretty sure nothing was charged at the time of order.

Anyone know what the difference between "pending" and "processing" means? They're telling me that they're "getting my order ready" on my space grey, but that my silvers are "estimated to ship on Nov 3rd". Which one(s) should I be worried about??

This is on the app, not the website.

Look at your confirmation email. It should show sale tax charge and AppleCare (if purchased).

That is the kind of question that derails the main focus of the thread. lol If that happens, we might not ever get back on the Verizon track.

The 12/1 delivery date shown by Verizon may or may not be accurate. You could receive your phone earlier. As to Best Buy, if you have to pay full price or add line in order to get the phone, I don't think that is worth it, unless you want to pay full price.

If you had made this post instead of the other cryptic one, it wouldn't have sounded like you were trying to scam (at least to me).

If I were in your phone shoes, I would place an order with Verizon and see what happens.

Well, thanks for the suggestion anyway. I will probably just wait and see if I can pick one up on launch day.
The December delivery date scares me.

Neither. Ship by really means deliver by. The confirmation email states the correct delivery. Don't worry about the website ship by rhetoric.

Still no charge here. One change though...my order now shows as "Pending" via the app. Still shows as "Processing" on the website.

I think it will be some “cheaper” version of the X with an LCD screen.

If I were with Apple, I would get you a phone by 11/3, just because you are a Pug lover.

Trying the walk-in method is definitely an option that might yield better results.

It has been that way for me since I ordered. Don't fret. You will get charged soon enough. ;)

Ooookay.. so I asked Verizon to add the letter "E" on my apartment number for the shipping address, and so they changed it and said that I would be able to retain my Nov. 3 delivery date, however with the new confirmation email that they gave me, it now shows Dec. 13. Not happy with this.

Did they cancel your original order to do that?

I go the 8 plus on store the other day and was only charged the 35 for something but no tax or anything else so I think we are ok. i mean my receipt says 0 due

Yeah the CSR I am talking to right now says it is all good, tax comes at shipment.

You can buy Apple Care over the phone

I ordered the 6s plus and the 7 plus from Verizon - Your card WILL GET charged people. You will get charged either Tues or Wednesday night. Then you will see the tracking number in the morning. Vz will get your phone to you on 11/3/17....RELAX!

Really humm... my local Apple Store said I have to come in. I will try calling before going to the store. Thanks for the Tip.

Verizon just charged my bank for the tax on the phone and a "restocking" or "upgrade" fee. I did the online chat and the rep agreed to issue a bill credit to my account to cover the upgrade charge.

Just for reference I completed my order through Verizon's website and had my confirmation e-mail for an 11/3 delivery date by 3:09am. Looks like things are on track for a launch day delivery!

You cam do it over the phone. The Apple rep will run a remote diagnostics on your phone. And if all is well, you will get coverage.

Aware of that...but interesting, what used to be "deliver by 11/3" on the space grey is now gone. The other two still list "deliver by 11/3", but the space grey is not unlisted on deliver, ship, or order date.

Interestingly, the space grey was the one that I actually ordered before 3am (it was like 2:58 or something)...my confirmation email arrived exactly at 3:00am EST on the dot.

I have heard that the verizon.com early orders placed before 3am ET /12am PT are being voided and sent to the back of the line.
