My anxiety stems from the fact that I usually leave my card locked unless I am actively using it. I am having to leave it open for multiple days while waiting for them to charge my card. It's irrational, I know. Just a byproduct of me being so used to the card being locked and protected 99% of the time.

My order Went through a minute before it was officially on preorder. No charge yet for me. Should I be concerned?

If you add a line to secure a phone with the intention to cancel the line after you receive the phone, can you then use that phone on one of your other lines? Also, will the full amount be due or can you keep the device payment agreement and attach it to one of the old lines after canceling the new line? I hope that makes sense. Thanks for any replies. I'm trying to oder through someone other than Verizon but it only gives me an option to add a line.

Others here may disagree with me but, I don't think you can scam around getting a new phone if you aren't eligible for one. I think your current carrier will catch on very quickly. I would not go that route.

CHARGGGGGGEEEE!

You guys think this means they will ship early‽‽‽

I guarantee leahjofoxtrot's not relaxed. Probably not going to get their phone til 2018. :0

Considering my confirmation was at 12:05 PST, something would be very wrong in that case. I'm just hoping my bank isn't being flaky because I spent mucho $$$ on the debit card to pay a medical bill today.

You can do that and switch SIM cards but you will not be able to cancel that line without giving the phone that is connected to the line back. You will have to pay for that line and such. However you can use whatever phone number you want with the x with the sim.

EFB63586-0465-4A76-805D-3F34D5925D67.jpeg I submitted my order at 310 ET, and got an estimated ship date of 11/15. On the website, I still see “order is being processed” with no date. The app shows 11/15. Sounds like most people that early got a shipping date of 11/3. So will the “processing” and “pending” notices keep up until shipping? I keep hoping to see an earlier date...

You will have a daily spend limit on your debit card. My daily limit on my card is $6,000.

Your delivery date could change for the better. Too early in the process to tell.

So what color did everyone go with and why? Every Apple device I get, I go with a different color than what I did on my current device, so I got Jet Black last time, this time I went with Silver. I also liked the Silver idea, thinking it will show scratches less.
Ever since the iPhone 5 I've gotten the white or silver. Last year I got the black but returned it and got the silver. So this year is no different. Silver.

Ooookay.. so I asked Verizon to add the letter "E" on my apartment number for the shipping address, and so they changed it and said that I would be able to retain my Nov. 3 delivery date, however with the new confirmation email that they gave me, it now shows Dec. 13. Not happy with this.

Wow, sorry to hear that. I would be very upset also.

Thanks for the reply but I'm not scamming anyone. I am eligible for an upgrade on my line but when I try to preorder from Best Buy (they have the fastest pick up date), it says that I have to pay full price. I don't know why it only gives me the option to pay full price as it wasn't that way a few days ago. Verizon's website allows me to upgrade my line via device payment agreement but their ship dates are well into December.

Does everyone get a charge or just some? I opened a new line and it says I have a 30 activation fee but was told this will be charged on the next bill and that no payment is due at the time

The 12/1 delivery date shown by Verizon may or may not be accurate. You could receive your phone earlier. As to Best Buy, if you have to pay full price or add line in order to get the phone, I don't think that is worth it, unless you want to pay full price.

If you had made this post instead of the other cryptic one, it wouldn't have sounded like you were trying to scam (at least to me).

If I were in your phone shoes, I would place an order with Verizon and see what happens.

AMEX flagged the charge as possible fraud. I had to approve the charge, then spend 30 minutes with a Verizon supervisor to get another authorization attempt. Finally my order is processing.

Scared me for awhile because they couldn’t find my preorder because it was initially flagged. Note to self: contact the credit card company before buying my next iPhone.

That is the case for all who open a new line or upgrade on Verizon. It will be on your next bill.

The confirmation *page* I saw Friday morning did say something about some charge being on my next bill but I thought that the tax would be charged upfront. It isn't a new line but it is a new Device Payment Plan; I just payed off my previous one a few days before.
