Macworld Speculation

This is really just for fun...

Since iMacs and Mac Minis are rumored to be announced or released at Macworld, what do people think about the impact of this on a possible Mac Pro announcement? I'm starting to get a little worried...

The Mac Pro was NEVER going to be announced at MacWorld. The chips aren't in production yet. We won't see a Mac Pro until late, LATE February at the EARLIEST and probably April/May.

Had Intel made good on their original shipping release, an announcement at MacWorld was possible. Shipments of systems likely to follow 8 weeks later.
The designs should already be complete, and only require the CPU'S for full scale manufacture.

Now, given the Q1 '09 release, May is looking to be realistic indeed.
Assuming they stick to this release schedule. ;) :p

Doesn't "Q1 2009" usually mean "March 2009"?

WWDC 2009 is my prediction, or maybe a bit earlier.

Come on guys, bite the bullet and say WWDC, at least you won't be disappointed!

:p:D

Anyone following my conspiracy theory would be wise to take after this man!

(The 518 days conspiracy. The last update took 518 days, and WWDC 2009 is exactly 518 days from the release of the Penryn Mac Pro, so...)

In this circumstance, those are Men In Black shades.

The MacPro's shipping date just turned from "Within 24hrs" to "Within two days" in the german Apple Online Store.

What a smart company. I was reading it was wondering about it, then saw that. Lo my ale, apparently I have a "server" next to me

LOL!
A good ale can have that effect. Especially when a few are involved. :p

BTW, Philly? I moved from PA ~ a year and a half ago.

PHILLY SON~

I was just seeing that their definition of a server is everyone else' definition of a desktop, I wasn't messed up. Tonight on the other hand, let's just say "BRB."

That was my point. It's just a desktop dressed up in server case. I got a laugh out of it, and figured you did as well. :p

I wasn't saying you were. I just saw a chance to make you laugh. :D

Ale, or anything else alcoholic and tasty, can give life a nice, and sometimes interesting spin. :D :p

If the Nehalem Mac Pro Case design changes then i'll buy a new Mac Pro I currently own the 3.2GHz Module and if the new Mac Pro are going to have a new case design for the Nehalem Mac Pro's then I'll buy other Mac Pro but if it's the same design as the current one's then i'll keep my current Mac Pro until Apple decides to change the case but I heard that the New Mac Pro are going to be fast but I'm waiting until the case design changes before I upgrade to a new one because spending all that money for a new one and it still looks the same I just rather wait until the case design changes then it will look different from the older Mac Pro instead of being the same, I'm sure if any new video cards with display-Port Apple going to bring out will work on older Mac Pro so that us Mac Pro owners can enjoy the new Apple LED Cinema Displays unless Apple will release adapters.

By my count, there is one (1) period and one (1) comma in that paragraph.

Anyway, I like the current design, but would be OK with a change.

Do you want to put a friendly wager on that???
