it is truly funny how many pc users think small, aesthetically pleasing, compact devices cannot be useful. lol.

Anyway, my main points were that Macs are more stable (which they obviously are)

On seeing 3 Macs in our office and drooling over the 17" iMac, then finding out that it wasn't JUST the monitor but the whole darn computer: then learning it was a Mac, one guy said, "Wow! Who makes the Apples these days 'cause Apple went out of business years ago?"
I had absolutely no printable answer to that.

I have to take exception to this - the only thing that has flatlined my PC in the past three months (it *never* gets turned off unless system updates require it, and the last time that happened was about that far back) was the Apple-supplied software for interfacing with my iPod (not Musicmatch, the underlying tech).

yeah, they are. apple laptop LCDs tend to do a lot better in the sun than other laptops i have seen. i know a number of people who've been impressed.Originally posted by sethwerkheiser
My friend also commented that you can't use the iBook outside in the sun, like, because the screen isn't bright enough. Umm, aren't almost ALL laptops this way?

I am a teacher with a Mac lab.
here are a few comments (paraphrased)
Macs suck because you can't program with them.
Macs suck because you can't create web pages.
Macs suck because you can't open Word documents.
Mircosoft doesn't make and software for them.
There are no games for them. (true there are less games, but there are still games)
Macs Suck because they can't network with other computers.
Macs suck because they always crash.
Macs suck because you can't "end task" when they lock up (my persopnal favourite because it proves that they have experainced crashes in the PC world)
Macs suck because they can't be upgraded (to which I ask, what upgrades have you done on your computer?... amost every time it is "I added RAM" )
Macs suck because you can't use a two button mouse.
"Macs suck."
Why?
"Cause they do."
Why?
"they just do."
Why?
"I don't know they just do."
** as a note most of these students experiances have been on old lc475's or classics because their elementary schools spent thousands on these machines decades ago and they don't want to let them go, while they have spent all their money on new PC's.*** most have never experianced a modern Mac until they enter my room.
