Only 5GB free is pathetic. I have 17GB free on GoogleDrive, 30GB on OneDrive, and 50 GB on Mega Drive. I don't care how little it costs, I'm not paying for cloud storage when other platforms actually provide usable amounts for free. 5GB isn't even enough to do a complete backup of one of my iOS devices. I agree that they could at least offer 5GB per device.
And none of those other services could still backup your phone, so yeah. But of course your choice to make.

iPhone owners are far from typical socioeconomics wise.
Plenty that aren't, but that to some degree depends on the country/region. And whether or not that's the case, doesn't seem like that would relate much to "game changing innovation". To top it off, my comment was more in relation to the typical iPhone consumer populace basically, which mostly doesn't give much thought to something like "game changing innovation".

That's why I simply backup my phone to my PC instead. Basically the only thing I use iCloud for is transferring documents between my PC and iPad.

Why's buying devices relevant to their online storage space? I agree that it would be a great deal but I won't really expect it, if you know what I mean.

Have you tried google photos?! Unlimited free storage with lots of extra bells and whistles.

Haven't tried Google Photos - must do that, but someone mentioned Mega which I totally forget I had.

Thank you both for the advice!

Thanks for the reply, but not the question. You're on MRF, so you're obviously not the Joe Schmo off the street.

I would like to get a feel for the average consumer's gripes about the iPhone.

How can they answer or even read your post if they are not MRF members? Or are you asking MRF members to spy and report on other people. We have government agencies for that. NSA.......

Non sequitur, your facts are uncoordinated. Sterilize imperfections.

This whole thread is full of b.s.

Non-technophiles don't complain about their phones, at all. They look at them as a tool, like Chapstick, or gloves.

Seriously, I've never once heard a family member or friend ever even mention their iPhone, and if I ever start talking about phones or computers in any way around these people, their eyes glaze over, and they start daydreaming.

Have you ever taken a close look at b.s. I mean microscopically. You will see at 100x magnification the male bovine feces is made up from millions of tiny macrumor's forum threads. I kid you not.

What the @HEK ! ;)

While your scientifically-oriented and overly analytical brain generally serve you well and have taught me a thing or two over the years, in this case, they've missed the mark. Let me repose my query anecdotally:

You're on MRF, yes? You're probably one of the most technologically-informed people you know, right? Assuming both answers are "Yes," your feedback on the iPhone isn't what I was/am interested in here. I read all about TMSC vs Samsung, File Management systems, walled gardens, on a daily basis.

However, you do have friends, family, and co-workers who are less technologically savvy, yes? And I'd venture a guess that you sometimes speak with these folks and technology (e.g. Your iPhones) comes up in conversation? What are their complaints? What are their gripes?
Make sense? No non sequiturs, and the NSA wouldn't return my calls ( though I'm sure they're already listening in). o_O

Bigger phones = worse grip.
Well, depends on how you're defining "bigger."

The iPhone 5 series and SE are both thicker than the 6 series, but are, in my opinion, easier to grip.

For me, the thinness and rounded edges of the 6 series make them by far the slippiest iPhones to date.

I agree with you on that. I like the iPhone 5 design better than the 6 series. By bigger I mean the plus size and I assume that's what was meant in the other post.

Ok got it now. Blushing with all the compliments........appreciate the "what the HEK" :D

Unfortunately my analytical brain has alienated me from most people. I get most of my semi human contact through my phone. I even text family members rather than talk to them directly. The only comments I can recall from the few non tech friends from the past is that when they drop their phones they break. Although this wasn't restricted to iPhones, just general complaint about all glass screened smart phones.

Hope this helps. By the way, NSA takes in calls, all of them, but they never return calls. Just to let you know in case you are still waiting.

I'm in one of those moods this morning where everything strikes me as humorous.
