A work colleague decided to move from his Samsung to the iPhone.

After using the iPhone for a few months his observations were....

Why is the iPhone so restrictive. ie Sandboxed.
No Sd Card. (He knew this before buying)
Safari doesn't scroll pages as fluidity as his previous phone.
Unable to place Apps on the screen where he wanted to.

C'mon though, you're telling me people don't complain about their tools?

Their phones, no. They don't complain about "bezels", "RAM", "walled gardens", or having "16GB" of storage. That was my point, not that your idea of starting this thread is "bs".

I think the replies here are obviously their own wish lists and complaints. Unless you count someone saying "Oh darn my phone's dead!" as "battery life"! But those non-techie people literally don't remember to charge their phones because they're never thinking about the technical aspects of it.

Really? That's what your iPhone-using friends and aquaintences say?

My mother regrets buying it after I kept telling her go for the 64GB so yeah...lol

No "proper" file system!

Said by nobody ever?.... Never heard of a complaint about it from a average joe nor do i know of any Android user to ever use it either that are average joes..

Lack of Ram, lack of storage, case design, chip speed, iOS, lack of waterproofing, low screen resolution, bad battery life, ridiculous price, screen too easy to scratch and break, phone prone to bending, lack of compatibility with software they already use.

Pretty well everything about the iPhone.

Of course, you can add a lack of a headphone socket to that list soon as well.

:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

Couldn't be bothered to read the first post of the the thread, huh?

Interesting. I find that odd, as my experience has been that scrolling in iOS is quite smooth compared to others.

1.Price - mostly from a non iPhone users that would like to have one, but can’t afford\ justify it…

2.Storage - many buying the base model because of the high price and after some time they realize its to small…

3.Running everything through iTunes - syncing, updates, backups, copying\moving pics-vids-music… somehow for some people (older and non Mac users) its to complex.

4.File system with folders like MacOS\Windows - few times i’ve heard “where are my pictures-videos-music files stored on my iPhone?” or “how can i excess to my picture folder?”

This whole thread is full of b.s.

Non-technophiles don't complain about their phones, at all. They look at them as a tool, like Chapstick, or gloves.

Seriously, I've never once heard a family member or friend ever even mention their iPhone, and if I ever start talking about phones or computers in any way around these people, their eyes glaze over, and they start daydreaming.

People outside of this forum absolutely complain. They just describe it differently.

Instead of saying 16gb is too small...they say why can't I take more pictures and things like that.

If you want to believe otherwise, then continue dreaming.

Pretty lame - photos are in Photos as are videos taken with the iPhone / music is in iTunes - doesn't get much more intuitive than than.

As for Syncing - I NEVER sync my iPhone or iPad and have moved info on and off my iPhone without a problem.

NOW if you want to B_TCH about how Apple handles Back-up and Restore from Back-up - in 2 words APPLE SUCKS.

Lucky you!

Many average joe's are 'B_TCH'ing about all these things - they cant manage syncing, moving files or backup their phones, as a result they dont understand why they cant take more pictures.

Maybe you're one step above the "average joe"... :p

Screens scratch and break easily, buttons break easily and dust enters the cameras easily.

Geez ... if it's causing that much angst in your life, put it in a case.

The alarm part of the clock app is really bad, can't even adjust snooze length let alone have an ascending alarm volume, come on Apple..

Then those people wouldn't have purchased the iPhone - those "features" are evident BEFORE purchase.

Some are but again when you get a brand new phone, you dont always think clearly. After few weeks the hype is disappeared... Especially when you compare phones with others you see these differences better.

While I sometimes agree with your sentiments, did you read my earlier post? Not exactly slamming it onto the concrete.
Question: How was your phone protected when it broke? Your type of innocent incident is my biggest fear.

I'd wager most non forum owners would be surprised how easily a screen can break.
