there’s no question about it the iPhone X takes some getting used too. and in some cases 2 hands are necessary to do what you want
The 7 was a more one handed iPhone but all the bells and whistles in the X make it worth keeping

For I had to weigh what’s more important. Do I want one handed use with surety and ease or do I want to try to get use to 2 hands in most cases but have all the bells and whistles. Because using the X for almost 2 weeks heavily the X footprint doesn’t have a compromise in my experience. I either have to stay with ease, comfort and surety or get used to not having ease, comfort and surety and have all the bells and whistles.

After using my 7 all day heavily yesterday it was SO frickin easy and comfortable with 1 hand usage. Got lots of texts whipped it out and was able to text 1 handed with no issues. I also had surety that it wasn’t going to fall out of my hand like it did multiple times daily on my X. Now if I could rock the X naked might work. But I don’t work in an environment like that. I tried the X naked and it’s slippery.

Then looked at my 7 and thought ‘man this is more manly and stealthy than the beautiful sexy X’. Like I said to me the X is a metrosexual looking beautiful sexy device and nothing wrong with that.

Then I have to think what do I use my smartphone for? And will all the bells and whistles that the X has make it that much more of a better experience than my X to use it as a daily driver. For my situation no. I don’t work in an office setting where I can lay my X on a dock or wireless charger on my desk and if my wife texts me I can pick it up and text even with 2 hands. I work outside in the elements and most of the time not stable to do all stuff necessary to communicate personally and business related.

Also I like medium protective cases and a medium protective case makes the footprint even bigger. The Magpul is my absolute favorite case and looks good on a Space Gray 7. Wouldn’t look good on an X cause the X is too beautiful and sexy for that plus it would make the X larger in the hand.

Now I like watching videos and Netflix and other stuff like that when I have down time at work. Yea the bigger OLED screen is super nice for stuff like that but that kind of stuff doesn’t incorporate a large chunk of my day.

If I can’t walk our dog while texting or looking at and posting on Facebook or checking out Instagram etc with ease, comfort and surety 1 handed it doesn’t pass the ‘walking the dog test’. Which is my top priority.

I always wanted a larger screen but not necessarily a larger footprint. I always said Apple could make the 6/7 screen larger by getting rid of the home button and add some real estate on the top. That’s what I was expecting this year. Was also expecting a plus size.
