Everyone is just assuming there will be a air 3 , but there have been no leaks or anything about and iPad air 3. From what i can see they are only doing the iPad pro , and iPad mini 4, These are the only leaks we have seen. I personally am pretty sure they are skipping air 3 and going to iPad pro and iPad mini 4.

I ve been thinking the samething for long! My priority would be the Ipad pro. This would create a real buz and lot of apple followers are ready to pay big money for it. But not me... I ´m waiting the air 3 to replace my Ipad 2. But i ´m afraid it will not be there this fall...
I thought Apple mentioned they plan to sell iPad Pro to business and enterprise???
Although it might seem that way, we've also yet to see the iPhone 6s, which will be released a month earlier. If they don't release an iPad Air 3, how could they justify charging $500 for another year? Would they just increase the capacities or would they lower the price to $400 as a new price for future iPad Air models?
I believe we will see an iPad Air 3, but it will be the same design, just better processor, enhanced optics, not sure about force touch.....
Makes sense, not sure if it's going to be worthwhile to release something with slightly different looks and software.. I'd be happier to wait an extra year for something even better
I doubt they're going to not release Air 3 this year; since its initial unveiling in 2010, the full-sized iPad product line has always had an update each year. There's no precedent for the full-size iPad receiving no update, unlike the iPod touch product line. Also, after 2 major exterior shell design changes in a row, this year's Air 3 model may simply be more focused on the internals rather than exterior.
There will be an iPad Air 3, or an iPad of the same size with a different name, released around October time with the usual iPad/Mac event. It could be a major update. It could be a rather pointless update like the iPad Mini 3. It'll probably be something in between those options.
Common sense and precedent predicts this.
Basically if Apple can bring themselves to release the iPad Mini 3 as an update, the iPad Air will get at least something.

Isn't it a bit early for iPad leaks? They usually come out near the holiday season. There haven't even been any leaks for the next iPhone(s) yet, only rumours, and they usually come out a couple of months before the iPad.

Agree. It may or may not be a really significant update like the Air 2, but there's no way Apple will miss a chance to stimulate some consumer spending and sales hype.
I think that there will be an update to the processor, RAM and camera. I agree with the suggestions that it will be a "soft" refresh.
If its a processor upgrade only (as 2gb ram is plenty), then I'll likely hop on the newly discounted Air 2.

How are you NOT getting 10 hours? 100% brightness and watching non-native videos or gaming full time? 10 hours is my absolute minimum.
A thinner iPad Air? Do you want to be real or just a picture of an iPad because the current model is arguably thin enough.
I hope there will be an iPad Air 3, because I think thats when I will upgrade my iPad 4. There isn't anything obviously amiss with iPad Air 2 though a healthy speed and graphics boost is for sure in the cards if it does happen. I do hope that Apple trims back some of the iPad models as they have started with axing the original iPad mini as there's way too many and its become confusing.
I'd like the opposite... An iPad Air 3 with the thickness of the Air 1 but the battery life of the iPad 4.
