Target return policy

There is no way Target will not take your iPad back unless you damage it in an obvious manner. I probably spend between 4000 a year there on my red card mostly on household items and few groceries. They do not want to piss me or any other consumer off with a you opened it policy. Target has great customer service and a liberal return policy. They will send your iPad back to Apple and it will be sold refurbished if you don't like it. If it is defective they will take your word for it and return your money.

I had a 16 GB iPad 4 which I really liked but I ran out of storage space so I sold it for a negligible loss a couple months ago in preparation for the iPad 5 'Air' release. Yesterday I purchased a 32 GB iPad Air at Target and it's still sitting unopened in it's box. I bought it at Target because had a 5% off coupon however their written return policy is a little ambiguous regarding opened items.

So here's is issue. I've read way too many thread post and it's making me second guess my purchase. Is 1 GB of ram really enough?

Absolutely not. Apple is a closed ecosystem which means only Apple makes the operating system for Apple products and approves apps, unlike other computers. They generally pledge to support their hardware for 4 years, meaning that 1GB will be perfectly fine because the ones who are writing the specs are making the hardware. However a magical dinosaur will magically break this.

Is my screen going to be off colored IE yellowish, bluish, pinkish or any colorish.

Yes, after purchasing 60 separate units of past model for my company I had one that was slightly off. You could barley tell unless you were OCD, so clearly Apple has a high level of control over their screens, and only around 1% have slight problems and far less than that have major problems. However a magical dinosaur will magically break this.

Will there be light leakage.

Again even though a very small number of people have reported problems a magical dinosaur will magically appear magically break this.

Is it going to have shadow bars on the screen.

Is the iPad Mini Retina going to be 10x better.

Magical dinosaur says that lower end products are always better than higher end ones. Price and quality are a trick of the mind.

Are there going to be better deals coming up soon nearer to Christmas.

Yes Apple which has never done anything but the smallest discounts is going to be forced by a magical dinosaur to slash prices by 99%.

Please talk some sense into me.

what's the point of returning your Air if you don't have an iPad since you already sold your 4 ? keep it and you'll be happy in the end.

Those unhappy with the Air are more likely to post their "Unhappiness" on the boards. As for me, I'm am very happy with mine.

My advice to you, sounds like you need to open the box and use your iPad Air. You don't like it, pack it up and get a refund.

Well I got my nerves up and finally opened the box. And...

It's Perfect!!! I love it. It's an improvement over my former iPad 4 in each and every way. :). Thanks for everyone's feedback I really appreciate it. I should add in my opinion the screen looks better than my iPad 4 screen and it's performance is snapper.

The RAM is a non issue. The device is extremely fast and all apps and games run great. Apple purposely doesn't advertise the amount of RAM because it doesn't really matter. Open it and play with it and you may change your mind. I don't thin there's restocking on opened boxes,

Well done, using it yourself is always going to be the way to experience it, all the naysayers, haters and those who can't afford to buy one are always going to make the most noise.

I have to agree with other members here. Open it up and play with it a little. Give it some air, man! You don't like it, take it back. I bought 2 this weekend and neither of them have any issues people are complaining about. I miss the size of the mini, but the power with the air is incredible.

See? That wasn't so bad. :)

Even if it wasn't perfect, I'd have full faith that Apple would've bent over backwards to make it right. Even if target wouldn't take the return without a restocking fee, you can always have Apple swap out the bad iPad for a good one.

My Air is flawless, and I have not encountered any situation where the 1 meg ram caused any issue whatsoever. Having one company design the chipset, and the software does have advantages. This thing is fast!!! And having a dozen apps open has not phased it a bit. I would seriously not worry about spec numbers. Because the synergy achieved surpasses shear spec numbers.

Consider that when you check things out on here, most satisfied users are not going to post here. While the few that have problems will be very vocal. And rightfully so. Figure of several million sold so far, the few that report screen issues makes it we'll under 1 in 10,000.

I came from a iPad 4 LTE and after only hours of use with my Air, I find is darn right snappy in performance. Internet is very fast and it seems to me that even the keyboard seems quicker. No delays anywhere.

Worth the upgrade for me I know more than a few who will be glad to get my "hand me down".
