I think that when you are going to wear just jeans and t-shirt, you'll prefer the 6's size....

That was one of my concerns. Seasonal. It's winter in NY right now. I've got big jacket pockets right now. In the summer, when I've gotten nothing but shorts and a T-shirt on, the Plus would have ended up even more of a pain to carry around.

I'm glad there are 2 choices. I've owned both, and happy that I have. I am a fan of both. If I didn't have kids to feed, I'd probably own both.

I went from 6 to 6+

I had the 6 since launch day because I thought the + was too big, however about a month ago after a few friends of mine had the + and played around with theirs for a bit I decided to post an ad on Craigslist to trade my 6 for the +. That was over a week ago. No way am I going back to the 6. The larger size, battery life etc are well worth it to me. When I use my wife's 6 it looks tiny :)

When she picks up your 6+ it looks silly big.☺️

Quick question. How were you able to trade it back after 2 months? Was this with apple or a carrier?

I used kijiji. Made a 'trade' offer plus a hundred and calls came in right away. There is a decent size market for 6ers wanting to taste the big life. I got lucky and traded with a guy that also had an Apple care plus.

After Thinking it through and even picking up a 6 model for a few days, I decided to keep the 6+. That battery and screen size I can't walk away from.

I Did notice that typing on the 6+ was much easier with the bigger keyboard. Also holding the 6 I was still somewhat balancing it on ends of my fingers in order to get a good reach with my thumb just like I do with the 6+. My thought was the 6 is still not as small as the 5 I had and requires a different way of handling and I had gotten pretty use to the 6+. If my only complaint was the pocket carry, I guess I'll work through that because I love the fact that I don't have to worry about battery life any more.

I will say the case you pick will make a big difference. A bulky otterbox makes the 6+ much more cumbersome in my opinion. I'm currently using a apple silicone and it's quite nice and slim.

Either model will be a great choice for folks but for me the 6+ is a keeper.

In the end I think one of the things that I really enjoy about the 6 plus is the change it brings for me. I've owned every single iPhone and the plus is a breath of fresh air compared to the other phones. The 6 is a great phone but after all these years of iPhones, it's just more of the same in many ways. The OS has a lot to do with that as well.

When I pick up that big honkin 6 plus, it feels like its something different which makes it a bit more exciting to use. This is purely my opinion folks. :D

Like many, I started off with the 6 and thought the 6 plus was way too big. After about a month with the 6, I quickly got use to it and started to feel it was too small. I kept trying to justify against going with the 6 plus but in the end I bought one from the apple store just to try out since they are so readily available. I ended up selling the 6 after 2 days. The battery life and larger display was just too good to pass up despite the significantly larger device footprint.

And I was one of those people who thought a 4" display was "big enough" heh. I wonder if in the future everyone will be walking around with tablet sized phones lol

I'm a 6+ owner and the thing I love most on this phone is the battery life which is tremendous. But....I'm actually wavering on downsizing to the 6 just due to easier handling and pocket carry. I've actually gotten fairly comfortable holding the 6+ (owned for 2 months now) but I always feel it in my front pocket which is starting to bother me.

Two questions:

(1) For the 6 owners what type of battery life are you getting with the 6?

(2) Any others that have downsized from the 6+ to 6, and are you still happy with it or regret, etc?
Battery life is the biggest thing I miss about the 6+.

I've used both 6 and 6+ simultaneously during a Disneyland trip. We started at around 8 AM both phones fully charged. Both were on AT&T (6: AT&T, 6+: Cricket). The 6 was mostly just used for short calls and texting (light to moderate use) while the 6+ was my primary camera (lots of photos and videos taken). By the time we were watching World of Color (around 10 PM, I think?), the 6 was at 10-15% battery while the 6+ was still at 30-40%.

Aside from missing the long battery life, I'm content I made the switch from 6+ to 6. I've got "baby midget hands" and the 6+ was just too uncomfortable to use for me (plus the fact that I kept dropping it).

I'd take both if I could. There are days when I've got my iPad and thus the 6 Plus's screen size becomes redundant. Then there are days when my 6 Plus is my primary computing device, and the big screen then becomes indispensable.

If I had to pick a single one, however, I'd choose the 6 Plus (which I did).

2) I went from the 6 to the 6+ and now back to the 6. No regrets. I don't miss the Plus at all. When you get your hands on the 6 you will breathe a sigh of relief that now it feels like an actual phone and it just disapears in your pocket. Go for it.

The day I swapped my Plus for a 6, I practically skipped out of the Apple Store with my stealthy little new iPhone. Not to say it was a no brainer switch, as there was plenty of strong points to the Plus. But I did have that sigh of relief and feeling of normalcy when holding the 6 that was very comforting.

I've gone from 6 to 6plus and back and forth many times. When I downsized I like the ease of use of the smaller phone but missed the real estate of the larger phone. Battery life surfing the web is only a little better but phone calls is a lot longer on the plus so battery is a mix. Overall I treat it as a pjs let and took back my iPad Air 2 and will get a Mba.

Pros and cons either way so there isn't a right answer really. Could just be happy and downsize when the 6S comes and see what new feature it has

The 6 is a good phone, the Plus is a great phone. That is all.

The differences are so minimal that is an untrue statement. However the size difference is maximum. When people pull the 6+ outta their saddle bags and start talking on it they look like a tool.

2915mah vs 1810mah battery; 4.7" 750p vs 5.5" 1080p; OIS vs DIS. "Minimal"... right... And I used the 6 for a good 2 months before switching to the 6+ and the differences are far from "minimal" as you are claiming. No need to bash a phone or the people who use them just because it doesn't suit your needs or preferences.

Yeah I had 6 for a while too before trading up, worth it!

The battety is a given, I mean bigger phone bigger battery.
The other features are minimal. Difference between 750 and 1080 and the OIS(video only really isn't a big deal)
But whatever it takes to help you justify carrying it. Also stating a fact isn't bashing a person or phone.

OIS does make a difference, fewer blurry shots in less than ideal lighting.

This has been my experience,

Significantly better battery life on the 6+ alone can be the deciding factor for some people. Like I said, just because the 6+ doesn't suit your needs or preference, no need to say people who use them look like "tools". Not going to bother arguing with you anymore.

I started with the 6 but was coming from a galaxy 5 so the battery and screen size was a downgrade for me...decided to stick it out the 2 weeks and finally decided that the plus would be better. I loved it...the screen size and battery life were excellent, I really didnt notice much in the camera difference with the 6 and plus though. It obviously was bigger than the 6 but not too much bigger than the galaxy or so I thought. after 2 months with the plus it started to get to the point where it was a hassle. It wasnt as big as it first seemed BUT answering a call with that big phone sucked...for me. I refused to use it for calls...getting it in and out my pocket sucked. The plus deff was a 2 hand operation for everything. It just felt big and wide in my hands. I just purchased a 6 today and I have to say its like a breath of fresh air. Everything is just so much easier. sure I lose out on the battery life but as long as I pay my electric bill every month I can charge it at night ;)

I've had my a iPhone 6 Plus since October and loved the screen and battery life but by the New Year just felt that the iPhone 6 would easier to use everyday because of the size. Purchased a 128GB a few days ago and will sell the Plus later this week. I just personally found it too big for me.
