I know, I know... it's just a phone blah blah blah. With this new extended wait time each day my excitement for the new phone is driving me nuts. I'm so ready to end my android life and re-start my apple life, but for an impatient person like myself, 2 weeks is an eternity.

How are you all passing the time during this waiting period?

As opposed to the 1 year wait thus far?

At least you aren't using an Android.

I'd probably gladly use an Android phone until the 25th. The other annoying thing about using this 4S is that it's locked to EE which means I can't use my Three SIM either. So my unlimited data tariff is just sat doing nothing and I'm trying to get by on an EE PAYG SIM with 500MB data when you 'top up' £10. o_O:rolleyes:

i'm wondering if this is the new norm for apple.... they did it with the watch.... now iphone 6s/6s+..... we'll have to see on the next big launch if it's 2 weeks or back to one!?

I'm killing the time by waiting a year for the 7.

Don't let the negative folks rain on your parade. As the daughter of a former war refugee and survivors of The Great Depression, I'll pass along the bit of wisdom I learned from my family: help others when you can. Never lose your sympathy or empathy for those less fortunate. We each get our turn at hardship and at joy. Be strong through the former and be thankful for and celebrate the latter.

To those blasting this forum member, we get hardships in the first world, too. Cancer struck both of my parents unexpectedly this time last year. We can't count on our luck holding out so when someone is happy, embrace it. Don't turn up your nose at unbridled childlike joy. We should encourage it. Cynicism doesn't lead to innovation or creation. It's hope, imagination and optimism that do.

In answer to the original question, I am very excited about my upcoming Rose gold plus because it's been ages since I've had a phone of any kind that wasn't dark or grayish. Now that I've committed again to the larger size I've resolved to stop whining about the challenges of carrying it around. I'm having fun looking at cases and screen protectors since I'm going to give up my black and gray wallet folio case for awhile. I read and socialized here with fellow enthusiasts. And I'm evaluating the apps I have on my 6Plus.

GrumpyMom, you are decidedly not grumpy. If you keep writing posts like that you'll have to change your name. ;)

OP- how are you holding up? You wrote this post 11 days ago, you must really be suffering by now! Those poor people trying to flee their war-torn country in Europe have nothing on you are going through having to wait forever for this! I hope you're ok and are finding ways to cope.

Most of us already have a gorgeous iPhone already, this is just an update.. Perhaps you have an iPhone 6 or 5S now.. enjoy these last few days you have, get reacquainted with it and hark back to the joy you had when you first got that one.

On the other hand, if you have a non-iPhone..

.......I got nothing

Whoah! Never thought my thread would cause people to react so negatively. I busted my ass to save up for this phone and because of that, I'm so excited to have it in my hands. The anticipation of achieving what I set after this summer is what is making me impatient... and if you couldn't guess it already in 2020 I will be running for president. *drops mic*

Doing what I did before I pre ordered. The excitement waned when AT&T dropped the October delivery date for my 128 gb Space Gray 6s Plus. Same thing happened with me and the Apple Watch pre order.

Go out with your girlfriend. I guess that will make the wait bearable. Life still goes on, no iPhone or iPhone.

using my S6 edge until my iphone arrives..hard when i'm using my air 2 and macbook on a daily basics.

Man, I wish I had enough free time to be impatient! The Apple Watch made me impatient, because pre order to delivery was so long, had more time to think about it, but it's been a week since the keynote and time is flying, only nine days, you'll make it without a break down, don't worry, hehe.

GrumpMom- wheren't you one of the few unfortunate people last year like me that got forced to wait till Nov to get our 6+? I remember your user name for some reason.

Yes. AT&T messed up our orders. We were among the first to order but among the last to be processed.

Glad to see your still lurking around here :) Didn't realize what you where going thru last year with your parents, so sorry. I was going thru the same a year ago and just had my 1 year checkup and am cancer free. Feel very forunate for every thing in my life now and take nothing for granted. Best of luck in getting your new phone, hope the process is smother than last years disaster.
