Got the 64GB Gold hopefully coming on the 25th. This will be my first ever iPhone, despite working at a mobile design agency for the past year.

Bit of a pre-order purgatory here.

iPhone on 9/25.

Hell's Foundations Quiver by David Weber 10/13

Finally getting the updated 3DS - the Hyrule Edition on 10/30 - which will let me play Xenoblade Chronicles finally.

And hopefully I'll finish that by the time it's sequel is out in December.

And of course a number of movies. But I haven't paid for those yet, so it's not as bad (it's mainly a "I paid for it, so I want it now!" thing for me. >.> Normally I can control it but it's stretched too many ways.)

I have the same issue as well. I have my 6S+, coming from a 5, and my friends band just released a new vinyl, but they didn't get any of their own to sell so the only way to get it was online through the pressing house. I ordered that well over a month ago. Still has yet to ship.

Glad to see your still lurking around here :) Didn't realize what you where going thru last year with your parents, so sorry. I was going thru the same a year ago and just had my 1 year checkup and am cancer free. Feel very forunate for every thing in my life now and take nothing for granted. Best of luck in getting your new phone, hope the process is smother than last years disaster.
Thank you! My parents are doing well on their cancer checkups but my mom also has severe arthritis and my dad, like me, has autoimmune disease so we take it a day at a time and try to be positive people. I'm so glad you're cancer free now and hope you remain so through all of your follow-ups.

I hope all of us get our iPhones delivered as promised. I was sorry to read some forum members received notices from Apple that their ship times have slipped by a week. So far mine still shows September 25 th. Its funny, the preorder day was my mom's birthday and launch day is my dad's. Dad is sticking with his 5s, though. He's so funny about that phone, he won't leave it turned on!

I don't know why, but we can't convince my in-laws, parents and aunts and uncles to leave their cell phones turned on to receive calls. They will make calls out but they freak out at the idea of using the phone as an actual phone. "Oh no, it's just for emergencies!" I think they are all traumatized by the days when cell phones had to be used like that due to lousy battery technology. My dad even had the presence of mind to buy a Mophie battery case for his iPhone. But he just leaves the phone inside the case plugged into the wall all the time! It boggles my mind.

I'm really surprised by my dad's younger brother and his wife. They are hip for 70 year olds and cross country ski and are pretty wild and crazy. But they, too, have the paranoia of using their smart phones for anything but emergencies.

Whoah! Never thought my thread would cause people to react so negatively. I busted my ass to save up for this phone and because of that, I'm so excited to have it in my hands. The anticipation of achieving what I set after this summer is what is making me impatient... and if you couldn't guess it already in 2020 I will be running for president. *drops mic*

Ha! When I saw the title of your post, I knew you'd get hammered by the wet blanket crowd with the "it's just a phone", "get a life", "first world problems" comments: this happens every year. I'm glad you're excited! GrumpyMom said it well. :)

At least you guys already know when you are gonna get your phones.

We have no idea when we will be able to get ours. try to be more grateful :p

Just freeze yourself like Eric Cartman did on a episode waiting for the Nintendo Wii lmao, since you're impatient lmao. Kidding, I'm pretty excited as well my new toy to arrive. Don't listen to these negative party poopers.

Side note: New South Park episode releases today! Lol

Yes I love South Park.

Ha!! This morning I was thinking about the wait and this episode popped in my head!! Too funny!!

Someone had to let you know that you sounded ridiculous and that you needed help back into your rocking chair.
I sound ridiculous, lol. I'm just grounded in reality unlike everyone who is painfully waiting for their new phone to arrive.

I see you have the iPhone 6. I'm starting to think you're jealous or you're contempt with your current phone.

Let's trade phones for the next 9 days and see how you handle my 2.5 year old Windows Phone. You'd pull your hair out as well.

I'm going to assume you live in America. I love how Americans think they're living in reality. The world is very different outside the USA. Just because you remain calm and chill on the internet and live in the USA doesn't make you Gandhi or the Pope. Do you really think remaining 'grounded' while on the internet is going to make a difference for people in Syria or Iraq? LOL

You can imagine that new iPhone was not announced yet in Poland. Probably will be available in online Apple Store (we don't have stationary store) month after first global release. I don't wanna go to Germany and spend whole day on waiting in line. Waste of time and money. I'm switching to iOS from Android again, but I need to wait much longer. :(

I'm actually dreading next week. I mean yeah I'm getting my 6S and yeah that's awesome but I also have to work on iPhone launch day. Aka one of the craziest days ever (outside of Black Friday) Praying this launch goes smoothly :(

I know, I know... it's just a phone blah blah blah. With this new extended wait time each day my excitement for the new phone is driving me nuts. I'm so ready to end my android life and re-start my apple life, but for an impatient person like myself, 2 weeks is an eternity.

How are you all passing the time during this waiting period?
Enjoying my 6 still until it sells!

Man, I wish I had enough free time to be impatient! The Apple Watch made me impatient, because pre order to delivery was so long, had more time to think about it, but it's been a week since the keynote and time is flying, only nine days, you'll make it without a break down, don't worry, hehe.

That long wait for the Apple Watch had the opposite effect on me. I've learned to just wait and be patient. Plus since it took so long the initial excitement waned. I was still happy to get it when I was finally delivered I was just calmer.

Yes. AT&T messed up our orders. We were among the first to order but among the last to be processed.

Oh my, that's terrible. How did that happen? How did they mess up your orders? Hope they compensated you in some way since it was their fault.
