Instructions here

I don't yet see any changes in the comparison between the versions before and after the migration to XenForo. Let's see if this appears in green in a comparison …

Hello

Orange juice is healthy and delicious, especially so with medium pulp. It was featured in an episode of House MD as a treatment for scurvy.

We're testing out this wiki post (1st post). Please try editing it and let me know how it goes.

you should be able to revert and compare versions

will anything specific identify a post as a "WIKI", or it is determined just by the presence of the "edit" button?

within a thread, is it only the original post that can be a wiki, or other posts as well?

is prefixed automatically in the thread list and first post.

Only the 1st post can be a wiki.

Interesting idea.

How does one make a Wiki post/thread?

Right now, it's limited to this sub forum (Site Feedback).

When you start a thread, there's an extra checkbox:

Awesome idea, but how do you ensure this idea is not abused so all the post content is not maliciously deleted?

A history is kept and can be easily reverted to prior state.

Click on the "last edited by" and you can see (it's not on mobile yet - will add that)

This is an awesome idea. The only problem I'd see happening is vandalism which is common on Wikipedia.

If you see abuse or vandalism, you can Report (

) the post to us and we can take appropriate action with a user and fix the Wiki if need be.

Great idea Arn, this will definitely extend the usefulness of MacRumors and I can see this being helpful to people, in threads like the "all the little things" that we see when iOS and OS X goes into beta.

Is there a max length of a post or a max number of images in it? Some of these wikis could get pretty huge and might hit those limits.

There is a max, but I've bumped them up a bit.

40 images and 60k. Seems like plenty to start.

This is a pretty neat idea. I like it. In my opinion, the requirement of 5 posts seems a bit low.

200+ posts id say.

for the wiki-type posts to be useful, you need enough pariticpants. That many posts required would reduce the eligible people by too many

Thanks for the effort! Please note image insertion tool does not work. I asked in the wiki instruction thread for info on how to work with images, links to images, and uploaded images. Thanks!!

We really don't need hit and run vandalism. I like 100 posts. :p
