I love it - makes the old iPad looks silly imo.
What the iPad should've been from the start
PLUS it's amazingly light !!!!

It's not big. Everyone else's is just small. It's actually the ideal size for creativity and productivity.
I agree 100%. I absolutely love the size. It doesn't feel heavy whatsoever. If they made it slightly bigger (length, I'd be all for it.
The last campaign rally I attended, someone was holding their Air 2 up to shoot video, and people behind her were NOT pleased. This one is tantamount to holding up a placardCan you take it outside in the public and take pictures with it?Just to show other people that are using regular iPads to take pictures that there's a new king in town. LOL.
Early opinion I would have to agree with you. I tried playing games and reading with it and really didn't have any problems holding it. It is a bit awkward and will take some to get use to but the weight is negligible IMHO.
Next to 15 rMBP.

My only worry is bedtime usage. Might have to finally pickup a kindle paper white for that purpose if I really love the iPP.
How is pure safari browsing? Seems like for some mobile optimised sites full screen would be a bit too big?
If they could get it down to 1lb it would be flawless hardware. What a superb device so far, but it can be slightly awkward to hold with one hand and like I said it's a little heavy. Huge and powerful.
Wow, it only took me a few hours to realize this iPad is not for me. I'm already using my iPad Air 2 to write this post. I only wish the Apple Store had some on display so I didn't buy it. Reading is the number one thing I do on my iPad so I should have know better.
I'll give it another shot tomorrow but it's just a little too big for me. The added weight is the most notable drawback. Split screen isn't drastically different from Air 2. It is very immersive being so large but that also makes you have to scan your eyes a lot more to see everything. As others have said amazing for watching video and I'm sure it will be great with the apps which support the pencil. Just like most new Apple devices it needs developers to catch up. Even Apples built in apps don't use all the new space that effectively. I think iOS 10 could be a pretty big step for the converged device. Maybe even a converged OS?
Are those "shadows" (brightness non-uniformity/darker sections in middle of screen) on the iPad Pro visible to you?
Well after hearing over and over and over about how big this thing is I was scared. Plus all the other negativity I was like
But I received my Pro today and I was sooooo pleasantly surprised. It not that big at all. I've been wanting a bigger iPad for quite a while now and this is it! And it's lighter than I imagined. I suppose because it bigger the weight is spread out more so that's what makes it feel lighter than the specs imply??? Dunno but this thing is light, thin and a marvel to read web pages PDF's and anything you just want to see more of.
I AM SOOO HAPPY!![]()
I think this is going to be one of those things that is just going to take a while to get used to the size. I thought the same thing when I got the 6 plus. It was just too big and I almost returned it.
Now I just love it and other phones seem too small.
Getting my iPad Pro delivered today so I hope the same thing happens to me this time around.
I hope this is the case and it's not some user agent telling the website tablet mode. I don't like it when using split screen on the Air 2 Safari renders the iPhone version of a website.Mobile optimized sites, when done correctly, are based on screen resolution rather than device. Because the iPad Pro has such a high resolution display, you'll find that most sites render as the "desktop" version.
As an aside, you can also get mobile-optimized versions of these sites by making your browser window very narrow. Try it on apple.com to see what I mean!

Yep. I've run into issues with Twitter though. I suppose I should just be using their app but I'm in Safari a lot so I usually browse Twitter there. Whenever the site reloads it automatically switches to the mobile version and I have to wait (sometimes a half hour or more) before the desktop version will come back. Quite annoying.Yeah, same. I've already run into one or two sites that did that with my Pro, but most have been good.
You may already know this, but for those annoying sites, iOS Safari has a way to change its user agent. It takes a few clicks, but you click the search bar, then scroll to the last item on the list: "Request Desktop Site."
