If you get a express replacement sent out, it is not possible to change your mind and keep your old one instead.
I have tried it myself and Apple said that there is no way to cancel the process. I had to send back the old one or else they would’ve charged me full price for the replacement.
Actually it really depends on who you talk to. I had the same issue with my 15. They sent me an iPhone which had a worse screen. I called them, and told them the problem. Sent the phone they sent me, and just kept my original one.

I’m trying to recover a sysdiagnose file from the Files App deleted files; however, I get an error stating “Couldn’t communicate with a helper application”. In my research, this error seems to frequently involve OneDrive or a Google application, but I’m only using the Apple Files app, and sysdiagnose was created internally on the iPhone. Any ideas for how to fix?

Decided to keep my 17PM with the G9P panel. Used them side by side all weekend and today and the G9P is just more pleasing to my eyes in terms of lack of color shift and overall readability outdoors (for some reason). My GH3 also has slightly uneven uniformity at brightness 30% or lower which made the decision easier as I frequently use my phone at medium brightness; it is less apparent on the G9P. There's no perfect screen.

I decided to sell my 17PM with GH3 screen rather than return as the phones are still widely sold out and I can get it to someone who really wants one at retail price (and won't receive a trash screen from Apple). It's still so close to launch that I'm not taking any loss at all by selling it vs. hitting Apple with a return. Doubt I'll try another 17PM because I 99.9% won't get a better panel than this one.

I busted out my 13 mini GVC again just for perspective and yeah looks pretty nice to my eyes especially for a 4 year old device :D (even though my unit is like 1.25 years old being an apple refurb)

Not true. Ive kept quite a good amount of my original and sent back the replacement. Just gotta find a rep who knows how to do it.

Example: getting a Hermes sport band serviced by applecare. Sometimes I find a rep who can do it in 5 mins and sometimes it takes 6+ reps until I get one who knows how to do it.

Next time just close convo, and restart until you get a good rep

True. You just have to look at forums like AVForums or AVS Forum. These aren’t casual smartphone users, but real enthusiasts who spend days and days calibrating and testing panels, and they’ve always prefer LG panels over Samsung’s.
Well professional reviewers state QD-OLED by Samsung Display is king.

Went to the Apple Store to risk my perfectly screen to exchange from a regular pro to max smh. Was playing with fire but ended up with the same great quality screen. G9NH beautiful screen. Ok, I’m done. Good luck to you guys finding a good one.

People keep talking about issues “at low brightness”…. Exactly how low a brightness are you using? The lowest I use is 30% and highest is around 55%

Mine goes well below 30% in a completely dark room. No need to blind myself! But, I don't use dark mode. If I did, maybe I'd set the minimum higher.

Do you have of the pink tinting that Samsung screens usually havw?

17 PM G3H Returned
Air GVC Returned
Air GVC Returned
Air GVC, I keep it and give it up
Capacities and colours?

Why does no-one mention these perhaps important details? I think I’ve noticed patterns, but I don’t have enough info to check.

Not to pick on you in particular, but I’ve gone through hundreds of posts here and hardly anyone can be arsed to type, for example:

iPhone Air, 256 GB, Sky Blue, bought in Japan: GVC panel.

Is that hard or something?

Incredibly frustrating.

I received my 17 Pro Silver last Saturday and it has a Q9N panel, my husband has the same phone with a Q9P panel.

Besides that: the edges of my plateau are extremely sharp. His edges are not.

It is a complete lottery this year!!

Are all the Samsung panels pink tinted on lower half of the screen? My panel is G9N and I’m having this issue and I’m curious to know how many other people have this as well considering from what I’ve been reading here G9N it’s supposed to be the better panel.

No, no pink tinted on the lower half of the screen.

Has anyone received a 256 GB iPhone Air or regular iPhone 17 (again, 256 GB) with a Samsung panel?

If so, what colour was it?
I’ve received a Regular 17 with Samsung G9P screen. No off axis tint. No Pink tint when looking straight towards it . But it’s slightly warmer (more yellow) than the g3h I had on a 16pM. It’s the best display I had so far on any IPhone.

No, no pink tinted on the lower half of the screen.
Guess I got unlucky then this is my G9N Samsung panel
.
