None of PM sized iPhones has ever replaced my iPad or MacBook. I still gravitate to the smaller and easier to carry iPhone pro max. It really isn’t as big as people say it is. For couch and bed viewing Pro Max wins.
I don’t want it to replace an iPad or Mac. Though at this point in time I don’t have either, and my iPhone X has been my main computer for the last year, so I’m hoping 15 pro max can fill that gap till I get a new machine

I’m considering one of the oled iPad Pros next year

I am looking forward to the 6.9" 16 ultra next year
I am really enjoying my 14 pro max and will be keeping it for a while. However 6.9" might be pushing it for me since I have tiny hands and rarely carry a purse. My hope is that the battery on the 6.3" pro eventually gets so good that it matches my 14 pm and I'll probably downsize

I have a 13 Pro Max and I like the extra screen size, but it can be a real pain carrying it around. I’ve gotten used to taking it out of my pocket before I sit down to stop it digging into my pelvis and it can be a challenge when I need to use it one handed. I quite often drop it.

My wife absolutely detests the Pro Max and moans whenever she has to go on my phone to look for something. They are not for everybody, that’s for sure.

Went from X to 14PM. I got used to the new size very quickly. But yes it’s heavier. Make sure your pants don't slip down.

If I upgrade from my iPhone 12 it will be to the larger size phone, but I think I may have to change from one hand use to two handed.

I’m planning to get a new iPhone this September and leaning towards a Pro Max, although have some concerns around the size. Those who own or used to own one, did you find it OK for daily use? Was it too big?

I’ll be upgrading from iPhone X.
Dear Dingau,
Here is an idea: take a piece of card board and cut out the shape of your new iPhone pro max. Attach your current phone to the card board by elastic band or tie rips. Carry that with you for a week and see if you can deal with it.
This is exactly what I did when I went from iPhone 4s to 6s plus.

Went from 12 mini to 14 pro max. Just few days to feel used about the differences in weight and size. Using it caseless make more easy, in my opinion.

My biggest concern switching from 14pm to 15pro is battery…I love having an extra half-day or almost 2 days before needing to charge. I don’t know what will happen if I have to charge everyday! I hear there are some who walk among us who do just that tho, so 🤷🏻‍♂️

Any feedback from brave downsizers?

I would much prefer the standard (non Max) screen size and weight, but the battery life is not even close. I kind of hate the big heavy phones but buy them anyway just for the battery.

I’d love if Apple could produce an iPad Mini that wasn’t awful to use… then I could have small phones and portable big screens.

I went back to a smaller iPhone and quickly went back to the big phone again. Horrible battery life and a jarring lack of screen real estate, among other things, made me realize I actually like the huge phone. The battery life at this point really is a deal breaker for me. It's a very significant feature for me, especially since I'm out all day.

I agree with the battery life sentiment and the big screen is wonderful for media consumption, which I do. I was considering downsizing to the regular 14 pro because I wanted to be able to use the phone caseless and the one handed use would be much easier, but I'm very glad I didn't, and from now on, I will always get the bigger phone.

I always get the Spigen Liquid Crystal case for my iPhone. It's very thin, while also being very durable, and still allows me to see the design of the iPhone. I mean nothing will make it look as good as caseless, but it's as close as I've come for aesthetics.

Not too big but I’ve had the larger size iPhone since the iPhone 6 Plus. I’ve held a regular iPhone in my hands and it felt so much lighter. I think I might get the smaller iPhone this time

Spigen always makes top notch cases. With the 15 pm I'm considering going caseless because of the lighter weight, and the titanium should be more durable, but we will see how long going caseless for me lasts lol.

Last year was my first time trying their screen protectors as well, which are also phenomenal. They have the plastic "guide" that clips onto the front of the screen and the screen protector just goes down on top of it, giving you a perfect alignment with zero effort. I can't go caseless for the simple fact that I want the highest resale value I can get every year.

I've been using their screen protectors since the 13 series, and I love them. They really do make applying it super simple, and the durability is great. On my 13 I think I replaced it 2 times, and I've only replaced it once on my 14.

Wanting to get the highest resale value makes sense. I use a case with all my phones basically 24/7, so I'm considering switching it up this year and go caseless as much as possible, but like I said, we'll see if that lasts or even comes to fruition. One thing that is a must have for me though, is having a screen protector, even if it's just to protect against micro scratches. My OCD drives me crazy if I know there are scratches on the screen. Don't know how people use their phone without one.

Scratches on the phone body would bother me as much as the screen. My phones always look brand new when it comes time to sell. I don't know if my paranoia would allow me to go caseless.

The 14 Pro Max is certainly quite bulky with a case. I have always had cases on my phones (I currently use the Apple silicone cases), but I am considering an ultra slim case (really for scratch resistance) or some kind of protective film over the back and sides.

I had the 11 Pro Max and 13 Pro Max. Loved 'em both but found using the camera one-handed was difficult, especially in bad weather. I used my camera daily to document the trailers in our yard (FedEx) and the Pro Max was a bit much. It was even more pronounced when Apple abandoned the round sides of the 11 and went to the squared off sides starting with the 12. While I appreciated that big beautiful screen and the extra battery life the Pro Max provided, using that camera pushed me back to the standard sized Pro. My tired old eyes tell me I made the right choice because I don't miss that screen real estate like I thought I would. And one-handed use it so much easier with the 14 Pro. I'll be sticking with the sub-Pro Max size iPhone for a while.

It really depends on the person, the weight, and the size of their hands.

I went from the 7 Plus to the X and the X felt small to me.

I then went from X to 11 Pro Max, then 12 Pro Max, then 14 Pro Max.

The Pro Max just feels so much better to me.

My fiancé, she prefers the size and weight of the X and 13 Pro.

My 12 year old son just wants the biggest screen he can get his hands on so he loves using my old 12 Pro Max lol.

I have always been a Pro user but this year I am seriously considering the Pro Max. I am a big user of the camera so it will be interesting to see how much better it is on the Max. If its only optical zoom capability and nothing else then I won't bother.

If I DO get the Pro Max, the other important consideration is that the new titanium model should be lighter than previous years which I think will make a considerable difference.

I don't know how much lighter it's going to be with rumors of a bigger battery.

I suppose it depends on if it's a just a bigger capacity, or physically bigger as well. If its physically bigger, how much bigger can they realistically make it inside the same size body.

It will be interesting to see what, if anything, they say about the weight in the keynote.

We'll know soon enough. :)
