He has so much money, and is married to one of the most powerful women on the planet. He doesn't need to be relevant.
Exactly. Not only that I'm sure he thinks about every move that he makes financially before he acts. He's a legitimate successful man after all.

Jay Z is a cool artist. Sucks that his music (old music) isn't available on Apple (for new kids to discover), but I don't really listen to him anymore these days. Everything I like from Jay Z, I've already had downloaded since back in the day using Napter and Kazaa.

That first statement is WIDELY up for debate

And just because I don't know someone personally doesn't mean I can't hold an opinion of him/her. public figures (and more specifically celebrities, though they are still people of course) open themselves up to the opinions of the public, both positive and negative.

Small price for being "fabulously wealthy" and married to Beyoncé.

I don't care for someone devoted to the illuminati. All the minute details
Fall by the wayside for me when that reality sinks in
The first statement is very true. No other rapper LIVING is more respected than Jay-Z and he Hasn't even put out an album in years.

He is desperate to be relevant.

This isn't about being desperate. This is about taking a calculated (albeit big) risk with his own initiative. He is at a stage where making money of streams is not worth letting his startup fail. By taking this risk, it will either payout big or it will fail, in that case, he will have a hard time bringing his music back to these platforms but thats obviously a risk he's willing to take.

In this case, its admirable for someone who could continue making millions of streams to take such risk.

I don't know what the big deal is. You can still purchase his albums if you want to. If this is a play to get people to switch to Tidal, it's a bad play. I am not sure about others here but I am on Apple Music streaming because at the time I switched, they had the $14.99 deal per month for unlimited music for up to 6 in a family which I thought was a great deal (still do). Also as an iPhone user, it's convenient. I guess my point is that most music services have the same catalog (with the exception of Jay Z's stuff I guess), so the choice for me is a matter of convenience and preference.

When does shaking *ss in front of the video made a person the most powerful. Don't get me wrong she's popular because she got the look and can sing. She's an opportunistic and use racism to sell her album. But never this women considered as most powerful.

Agree. He and his wife are garbage racists.
There isn't anything racist about Jay-Z or Beyoncé being pro black doesn't make you any-white. I'll never understand why some people get so angry when a person of color speaks positively about their own people and address concerns in their community

What racism is she using to sell her music saying how she loves her husband and child black features isn't racist

It's good to see him going all in on his own platform but I have to agree that a lot of the classics are going to be lost to new fans. Kazaa was always an interesting experience, I gave many a pc aids because of that thing :D

Some of us enjoy Jay Z / hip-hop and some of us don't. Fine. Whatever. But you can always count on the mac rumors forums for thinly veiled racism and bigotry. It's a real shame.

heh, right.. especially if realizing this article is sensationalized at best..
Blueprint hasn't been on apple music except for a very short time after the beats acquisition.. none of his bangers have been on there.. the article should state more clearly -- jay Z pulled a couple songs off apple music.. the rest of his stuff wasn't on there anyway.

hmm.. wondering if MR editors even checked out this story prior to running the article ??

Jay-Z's stuff is still on apple music.. Blueprint isn't on there.. Reasonable Doubt isn't on there.. but they haven't been on there for most of 'apple music'.. his other stuff is still on there- today.

(and if you look hard enough, you'll find a lot of the blueprint songs in other places at apple music..)

like, what exactly is the news here? as far as i can gather regarding jay-z songs at apple music, nothing is new(s).. nothing is different than it was last week or last month or last year.
