Why are black rapper businessmen "moguls" and all other races are "entrepreneurs"? These are important questions dammit!
It's been making me crazy too. I get complaining about not having something you want (headphone jack) even if I don't care about that issue myself. I don't get complaining about having something you don't want (16GB storage option) even if I also don't want that thing. The typical commener on this site thinks they should be the target audience for absolutely anything Apple does, and hates and/or dismisses anything outside of their own, narrow personal interests.
I mean, it's always been like that to a degree, but it's gotten much more toxic in the last few years.
8 of the current top 10 albums and all but 3 of the current top 20 songs on Apple Music are all rappers yet somehow the audience of this site wants to dismiss rap music as unimportant
The idea that someone would dismiss an entire service because it also offered something they weren't interested in, and had an audience for it, is just bizarre to me.And, because of those statistics, Apple Music is unimportant to me.
So the argument seems to be explicitly saying "not having some music I like isn't enough reason to change how I get my music, but having some music I don't like and an audience for that music is a reason to disregard a service I might otherwise use."It's not like this happens daily that it would make one change how they acquire music. It hasn't happened to me yet, but if it did, there are plenty of other artist's music I can listen to.
I heard he is having some cash flow issues over there so maybe this is a bid to drum up new subs so he can maybe get a new round of cash influx.
The major players will keep on keeping on.
Spotify / Apple
I suppose everyone who really wants to listen to music that isn't available elsewhere?I guess you could but how many people are buying CD's?
All that money and power yet he & Beyonce can't make Tidal relevant?...is married to one of the most powerful women on the planet
He's actually the Most relevant Rapper today, aside from Drake.
He has so much money, and is married to one of the most powerful women on the planet. He doesn't need to be relevant.
Jay-Z today had that one coming because he wants to manage his product as he sees fit just like Apple manages its business the way it sees fit.Good. Back to selling drugs in Brooklyn.
All that money and power yet he & Beyonce can't make Tidal relevant?
I don't think "Queen Bey" is as powerful as you think.![]()
say what? Drake is a name.. not incredibly common but a name nonetheless..Ducks can't sing... that's who drake IS, a duck, SURELY no one thinks that's a NAME?

the Drake in question was named Drake on the day he was born.. like, that's not just his stage name.
idk, poor attempt at being humorous.. better luck next time.
Tidal is not relevant and I won't miss him nor will 99.9% of music lovers.Tidal is not relevant because you say so? lol
No, there hasn't been an ad based subscription offered by Apple.I'm cheap so I listen to Google play music radio stations for free. Would be nice if Apple offered a free ad based subscription. I think they did in the beginning but no more.
Long live Napster!
More like neither will 99.999%, but I don't care about them because I won't miss him.Tidal is not relevant and I won't miss him nor will 99.9% of music lovers.
