Not a big fan of corporations getting all political but this isn’t political. It’s video evidence of the injustices our police and justice system place onto all living in the USA but especially minorities.

We need the big money in this country to help guide changes to our police and justice systems, otherwise we’ll be in this situation all over again.

Most cops are genuinely good people who put their lives on the line everyday while dealing with very tough tasks at hand. I hate that one lunatic is making all cops look horrible.

Also I hate that some lawless losers “capitalizing this opportunity” are turning this real sad tragedy into possible justification to why some cops have to act the way that led to Mr. Floyd being murdered.

this whole thing is really sad in so many different dimension... especially sad to be confirmed that there are good number of bad people in the United States.
Proof that most cops are genuinely good people? Because I have lots of evidence to back up the complete opposite. Or are we just giving them the benefit of the doubt for some reason?

No most. You don’t become a cop to be nice guy. You become a cop because you like to pull the trigger.

That's actually a pretty stupid statement, sorry! How is that different from saying "Most people on certain communities are criminals" just because there are some, or just because they don't like the cops? Cops exist because of crime. And I am not talking about the US, but the world in general. The less crime, fewer cops you will see. You, me, and everyone else expect our streets to be safe and when the safety falls below our expectations we blame the police. It is easy to become emotional and forget how they put their life at risk every single day and with what kind of people they generally have to deal on a daily basis.

The vast majority of cops are good, but just as when the safest form of transportation like a jetliner crashes or a small amount of phones are exploding or anything that poses a threat to human life, it is investigated thoroughly until a solution to mitigate the harm to human life can be found. But if we just throw our hands up and made excuses because it doesn’t affect you or your family then we will never find a solution.

This discussion is going may get nasty and combative. Despite profound sadness of the moment, better days are ahead. Hope everyone does their part to make it happen. Be a good person. 🙂

Since you were the first to put out there that most cops are bad, let's see the "lots of evidence".

Keep in mind there are roughly 800k police officers in the United States right now, so you should have evidence on at least a few hundred thousand of them to support your claim.

Cook needs to stop trying to be a civil rights leader and spend more time running the company. iOS 13 was an absolute mess. If iOS 14 is the same way, I’m gonna post this news Story in every single thread where people are complaining about the problems with it.

Mandatory bodycams will go a long way in policing the police.
Maybe, but judging by how blatant the actions of the police were against clearly unarmed protestors who are not doing anything illegal even as so many cameras were filming them, bodycams alone will not do much to police them. There needs to be strict accountability for illegal acts.

Yes you’re right. Especially as we have seen how brazen some actions have been even when people KNOW they are being filmed, But it at least gives voice to people when there is doubt.

The ones that keep quiet to protect their own are just as bad as the ones who routinely kill unarmed black men. So, roughly 800k.

Apple has always stood for equality and against racism, from the day the company was founded until today. While the vast majority of protesters are peaceful and protesting against injustice, it's a shame that a small number of outsiders (including white supremacists) are attempting to escalate the situation to riots or worse. Let's be clear, protesters stand for justice and against police brutality, and also against riots and other violence perpetrated by outsiders.
White supremecists? Man the narrative sure is quick and its amazing what nonsense people will believe. The sheer amount of destruction sadly indicates there are more looters than protestors in MN - not sure about other places.

That cop killed a man. But its not clear it was racist. Racism isn’t the only force in the universe. Four cops were on the scene- a white cop (who apparently knew the guy he killed), a Hispanic, Asian, and Black cop. In MN a Somali cop killed a white woman, a woman with no criminal record and she had called the cops. All these protestors who care about police brutality and injustice didn’t turn out then and it took two years to get that cop fired. It took a few days to get these cops fired.

You can't speak for all 1.3 billion iOS users or 1.5 billion active Apple device users. Apple just like every software/hardware company is going through growing pains. Even if Steve Jobs lived to this day, he would not be able to micro-manage all of it, even with all the VP's reporting to him. Also, I would not expect Tim to go pester the iOS engineering team to knit-pick about the stability of a product; especially if he is not experiencing the problem like millions. Again, its a large software project and the pace of software development has changed how reliable software is. And to be honest, I think its been pretty smooth compared to the hardware decisions such as the failed butterfly keyboard. But you can't rest this at Tim's feet, thats the VP who is in charge. You are more likely to blame Craig than Tim. Also, the hardware decisions a partly to blame on Ive who has since left the company. Considering that Jobs himself left Ive in a powerful position, Tim didn't have much choice on the guy that was deemed Jobs own spiritual partner at Apple. Thats basically being ordained #1.

Also, Jobs would not get a out of jail card either, Mac 10.1 had a serious iTunes bug that deleted data, so did 10.5 that deleted files when moved between partitions, the iPhone 4 antenna gate issue, Titanium PowerBook G4 with the white trimming falling off, weak hinge, white MacBooks turning orange, bad nVidia graphics for years.

So, no matter who has been running Apple, the company has had its share of issues and so has Microsoft and its line of Surface laptops, Lenovo, Google.

Data suggests otherwise and that its very rare not routine. My wife has the same problem you have - she gets her sense of averages from the news instead of data so she thinks our kids might get kidnapped because every kidnapping is in the news. Every time a white cop kills a black person its in the news. But black cops kills white people, white cops kill white people, black cops kill black people. Black people kill white cops, white people kill black cops...you get the idea. You can look up the data. Its a rare event that gets magnified to keep people apart instead of helping us see that these are rare tragedies and we should do all we can to reform them instead of seeing every event through the racial lens the media promotes.

Yeah the numbers still don't add up there. There have been numerous reports of cops protesting alongside people these past few days, as well as others denouncing what happened in Minnesota (and incidents before Minnesota). They just don't make the headlines as much.

But that's ok, if your narrative is fed only by blanket generalizations, it will fall apart eventually...

Too bad the President of USA cannot put together such words either written or spoken the way Tim Cook has in attempt to unite all. Sad country us Americans have to live in, when CEOs who rake in $140m in stock annually make more sense than the politicians who swore an oath to the people.

I've never seen a person treated like this by the police. That completely destroyed my view of the world.

I live in Switzerland and something like that has never ever happened here. Who kneels on a person who complains loudly for shortness of breath until he is comatose, calls for rescue and continues to kneel on him until he is definitely dead?

Here’s another rare event that just keeps people apart:

I stand by my 800k estimate.
