What a waste to talk with Justine. Tim should have spent time with Anandtech or Geekerwan.
Why would he talk to people who would actually ask difficult questions and press him for answers?

Yup, this. He is a smart businessman.I see a lot of hate for iJustine here and I get it. But I don't understand why people think MKBHD has anything worthwhile to say either. I know I'm in the minority saying that, but the dude is, aside from his production skills, mediocre at best.
Too much a fan girl. If Tim pulled a stone out of the ground and called it Apple Rock, Justine would giggle and say it's the best rock she's ever seen and wonder how she has lived without it.Why is that?
Gotcha. I figured it was a longer interview that was open for back and forth between them. Didn’t think it was supposed to only be for Apple‘s Ai.I don't think a 15 minute interview with Tim was the place to grill him about iPadOS. As much as it is an annoyance within Apple world, it is also (objectively) one of the least important things to talk about after the keynote.
On the other hand, I hope that Gruber pressed Craig on this issue during the live Talk Show. Looking forward to the release of that.
Agreed. The issue is, there are SO many people today who will ask, who is David Pogue or Walt Mossberg, as they’re too young to know or appreciate seeing professional journalists interview subjects. Today, most of the YouTubers just list off a handful of questions as tick marks to get through when interviewing people. Seasoned journalists will adapt their questions based on what responses they’re getting, as there are often layers to peel back that are more interesting than the base line questioning.Sigh I miss the days of David Pogue and Walt Mossberg. Rather than YouTubers.
She is, but she has a huge subscriber base, so you go where the eyeballs are.
Who’s Elon? It's called Marketing and registering a valuable trademark. Apple (probably) wants to distinguish how they do AI (privacy concerns, end of the world, etc.) from everyone else - especially since they are likely to add other third parties who can process off-device queries.
Given Elon's reaction to Apple's AI announcement, it's not a bad move IF they don't fumble it.
It's not journalism, it's PR. Just like the others.
No but if it's their flavor of ai why not brand it as such?Artificial Intelligence. Apple didn't create AI they have aright to put their name on it? Do they own it?
Marques is a pro. He got the sense (correctly) that there was no way on Earth TC was going to blindly rank Apple products and so dropped it smoothly.Marques actually asked good questions. I’m a bit disappointed he let Tim off the hook about playing the ranking game properly. For the iPhone, it was funny that Tim mostly talked about the App Store and how it created an economic miracle “for people” 😏.
Why would he talk to people who would actually ask difficult questions and press him for answers?
Not necessarily true, there's a difference between asking less softball questions, and being a jackass by going outside the topic and stated boundaries (like asking questions on whether Apple's policy of having manufacturing in China is encouraging the regime to further promote concentration camps and effectively slave labor for a discriminated population ... in a five minute interview about announcements at a developer conference).Good luck getting these peeps to ask really tough questions. The moment you hit hard, you’re not talking to them ever again. Justine will never throw some high cheese at Tim.
