Yep, I don't want my news from the 35 or 40 limited sources Apple approves of. Thats not freedom of speech. Until Apple allows all news sources without prejudice, this is just a form of censorship with enough marketing resources to make people that its not.
Cook has a political view and Apple will enforce that political view through its news App. I for one find that no different that what Putin does with the media in Russia, or the what the current dictator in Venezuela does with its media. We have a First Amendment for a reason and Cook is a proponent of suppressing speech that is not to his liking, regardless of the Constitution or legality.
Which legitimate news sources are you being deprived of in the News app? And by news sources, I mean news organizations that employ journalists and editors, engage in original reporting, edit and fact check stories, etc - and not exist merely to inflame the masses via unsourced editorial and entertainment.
"We have a First Amendment for a reason and Cook is a proponent of suppressing speech that is not to his liking, regardless of the Constitution or legality."
It appears you do not understand what the first amendment is about or who it pertains to.
With that aside, what speech is not to Mr. Cook's liking that he is trying to suppress? Please be very specific.
