Haters gonna hate
Taylor Swift is #6. I don't know what to make of this list.
I used to respect your input on this forum, I do not anymore. Tim Cook has been a blessing, Jobs did a fantastic job, but it was time to move on. Tim had the guts to do it, judging him by his sexuality makes you look very small!Taylor Swift is #8 on this list. Nuff said.
Oh and had Cook not come out as a gay man would he top this list? Somehow I think not.

I get the feeling he may be aiming for the WhiteHouse .

He convinced almost 80 million people to buy the "old" iPhone last quarter.
oh please, people buy anything with an Apple logo on it. You could have put the company janitor in the CEO spot and the iPhone would still sell like hotcakes.
You should have seen a couple of the posts in the three and a half hour hole in the thread that finished ninety minutes ago. Moderated out of existence for no discernible reason, but someone claimed that Cook was potentially the greatest leader ever. This thread is getting really scary.
So Tim Cook > Barack Obama, David Cameron, Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping and all the other leaders?
I think 'World's Greatest Leader' is the wrong term here. Apple isn't a country.
I'm not sure that you could buy a country for the cost of its GDP, but anyway: Apple's market cap is currently $718bn, which places it between Saudi Arabia and Switzerland in terms of nominal GDP (2013). Poland is still languishing in the low $500bns.Maybe not, but it's been worth more than Poland since 2012.

You have no idea how many flaming arrows you just lit with that statement lol

Oh please, everybody knows Picard was the better Captain - and the one most people prefer. I don't much care for what people think of Tim Cook/Steve Jobs, but I'll argue this one until the cows come home.![]()
How to insult 4 groups of nerds:
Maybe not, but it's been worth more than Poland since 2012.
Wow, I thought you were joking but it's true.
Oh it's a joke all right. Taylor swift is a selfish, spoiled brat and couldn't lead a damned thing. Alls she is good at is being greedy which is what one does when they pull their over rated music off of music service sites because her eleventy trillion billion dollars a minute isn't enough.
Leaders actually DO leadership-like things. Running Apple isn't exactly that hard. You've got a built in user base that buys basically whatever you put out there. And, Tim took over at a high point. He didn't pull Apple up from the ground or anything.
It's like when Barry Swtizer won a super bowl with the Cowboys..... Jimmy Johnson BUILT that team and Swtizer just stepped in and won a ring. Alls he had to do is show up. Sorry but those are the facts.

'To Cook, changing the world always has been higher on Apples agenda than making money. He plans to give away all his wealth, after providing for the college education of his 10-year-old nephew. There should be plenty left over to fund philanthropic projects. Cooks net worth, based on his holdings of Apple stock, is currently about $120 million. He also holds restricted stock worth $665 million if it were to be fully vested. Cook says that he has already begun donating money quietly, but that he plans to take time to develop a systematic approach to philanthropy rather than simply writing checks.'
All joking aside, I would like to see what a top businessman could do as President. I'd take Cook over Trump any day. And back many years ago, I would like to have seen what Lee Iacocca could have done. A top businessman couldn't possibly be worse than a full time politician.
This is noteworthy:

Trump is a narcissistic clown in my opinion.
The other businessman who attempted to become president that comes to mind (besides Romney) is Ross Perot.
A political governing body is NOT a business and business needs to stay out of government.
