Taylor Swift is #8 on this list. Nuff said.

Oh and had Cook not come out as a gay man would he top this list? Somehow I think not.
I used to respect your input on this forum, I do not anymore. Tim Cook has been a blessing, Jobs did a fantastic job, but it was time to move on. Tim had the guts to do it, judging him by his sexuality makes you look very small!

I have to disagree. I think his sexuality does play a part in this. The size of that part (no pun intended) is up to debate. The LGBT cause is huge right now. Clearly being and out CEO of the worlds richest company and supporting the LGBT cause openly would garner a lot of followers. Forbes and possibly Apple as well stand to gain from that. Forbes sells more magazines because the LGBT community potentially buys them to show their support for Cook.

Does this all hinge of the fact that the LGBT community actually does support him, sure, but lets be honest its like saying BET doesnt survive because of Black America, oh and suburban white kids :p

He convinced almost 80 million people to buy the "old" iPhone last quarter.

oh please, people buy anything with an Apple logo on it. You could have put the company janitor in the CEO spot and the iPhone would still sell like hotcakes.

Apple Pay and the improved screens are good reasons to buy them as well.

And it says a lot that the iPhone 6 had the highest number of switchers from Android to iPhone.

Ridiculous.

Tim Cook may be the worlds greatest manager. But that is not leadership. Maybe some day. But this is as premature as giving Obama a Nobel prize. Tim may surprise us and earn it some day but not yet. This is probably just SJW signaling.

This thread is getting really scary.
You should have seen a couple of the posts in the three and a half hour hole in the thread that finished ninety minutes ago. Moderated out of existence for no discernible reason, but someone claimed that Cook was potentially the greatest leader ever.

Maybe not, but it's been worth more than Poland since 2012.

I believe Lech Walesa's jock strap is worth more than Apple.
There are much better ways to define worth than money grubbing.
Walesa was a great leader who freed his country.
Tim, on the other hand, is a filthy rich, bean counting, logistics "genius",
pimping expensive, sleek and thin Vogue gadgets made with slave labor.

"World greatest leader", a fortune of absurd farce.

With the same success this one can be the World's Greatest Leader:

#TimCookAlwaysWins

When I first saw this article title, I thought it was a MacRumors award. "Tim Cook Wins Again!"

"Greatest Leader" sound like a communist propaganda, but is a nice accomplishment for a leader to be great.

It seems to be based on money earnings. I have my greatest respect for Tim Cook, but I'm hyper critical of: iOS flop design, bugs in iOS and OSX, no retina MBA, to name a few issues.

Oh please, everybody knows Picard was the better Captain - and the one most people prefer. I don't much care for what people think of Tim Cook/Steve Jobs, but I'll argue this one until the cows come home. ;)

Never!! Kirk engaged in hand to hand combat, got the girl, and beat the Kobayashi Maru scenario!!!! He was so awesome they had to spilt his character into two in new gen :)

Picard was just a better captain !!! And actor..... On the rest , kirk had him!

How to insult 4 groups of nerds:

Ha ha ha that is brilliant

Given a choice I would feel safe to upset cook all day long, but would be very very careful to say a wrong word against Putin ;)

Money .... Meh... Not how you judge leadership, everyone knows is through fear :p

Wow, I thought you were joking but it's true.

Oh it's a joke all right. Taylor swift is a selfish, spoiled brat and couldn't lead a damned thing. Alls she is good at is being greedy which is what one does when they pull their over rated music off of music service sites because her eleventy trillion billion dollars a minute isn't enough.

Leaders actually DO leadership-like things. Running Apple isn't exactly that hard. You've got a built in user base that buys basically whatever you put out there. And, Tim took over at a high point. He didn't pull Apple up from the ground or anything.

It's like when Barry Swtizer won a super bowl with the Cowboys..... Jimmy Johnson BUILT that team and Swtizer just stepped in and won a ring. Alls he had to do is show up. Sorry but those are the facts.

Your insight on Taylor Swift are profound, no doubt Pulitzer level!, guess she must have stole your cookie or something to make you so mean... (sic)

I get the feeling he may be aiming for the WhiteHouse .

He will get my vote !

All joking aside, I would like to see what a top businessman could do as President. I'd take Cook over Trump any day. And back many years ago, I would like to have seen what Lee Iacocca could have done. A top businessman couldn't possibly be worse than a full time politician.

This is noteworthy:

'To Cook, changing the world always has been higher on Apple’s agenda than making money. He plans to give away all his wealth, after providing for the college education of his 10-year-old nephew. There should be plenty left over to fund philanthropic projects. Cook’s net worth, based on his holdings of Apple stock, is currently about $120 million. He also holds restricted stock worth $665 million if it were to be fully vested. Cook says that he has already begun donating money quietly, but that he plans to take time to develop a systematic approach to philanthropy rather than simply writing checks.'

Trump is a narcissistic clown in my opinion.

The other businessman who attempted to become president that comes to mind (besides Romney) is Ross Perot.

A political governing body is NOT a business and business needs to stay out of government.

I'd like to see the government run as an efficient business for a term to see what would happen. As I said, it can't be any worse. And if business needs to stay out of government, maybe government needs to stay out of business.
