This tech illiterate with no public speaking skills is higher than Elon Musk? Cook should be #72 next to Cue.

Tim Coook's Bachelor's Degree is in Industrial Engineering and his Master's is in Business Administration, so both. If he "got lucky" when Steve Jobs asked him to come to Apple after their first meeting in 1998, he's stayed lucky for 19 years.
You realise what industrial engineering is? Feel free how it makes him a product person....

I do love when people bring bachelor degrees to a discussion, they are so irrelevant at these levels . Do you know what steves degree was in... trick question.... ;)

"[HomePod], a competitor to Amazon's Echo, may be the new hit Apple so desperately needs as interest in the iPhone wanes."

Yeah, we'll see on November 3rd just how much interest has 'waned'.

Went thru the list and it's just a cluster**** of nonsense . A bunch of business & Hollywood celebrities with no consistent system of intelligent or even ration reasoning why who ranks where. Seriously Alec Baldwin & Kate McKinnon at 19 while the entire late night hosts grouped together at 40, that is beyond bullcrap.

Also I do not believe at all that facebook actually has 2 billion individual humans using the site regularly. There's a whole bunch of multiple accounts & bots in that stat.

Who is this “our” you speak about. I’m sure some people fit that profile and others, like me, don’t think the same way as you. I’d argue people who spend $1,000 on a phone animojis are the type of simple application, not available on other platforms that show off the products strengths.
No professional or adult will resort to using this nonsense. It’s aimed at small kids but who gives that target audience $1200 smartphones?

They aren’t comparable. Elon Musk is the closest thing we have to the late Steve Jobs. Tim Cook is just the usual run of the mill CEO whose sole focus is profitability and cost control. Wouldn’t call him an illiterate though. He is just the usual ceo of a very big company, just not a visionary.

I can’t wait to try out the animojis. It’s gonna be a hit adult and child alike. Just like some were opining the new iMessage features are childish and adults and kids alike love ‘em.

I like the Macbook Pro dig. It was totally crummy to not offer us a non touchbar version with the same specs and ports as the touchbar version. Let us be the ones to choose Apple. Please.
That's not how Apple works. Apple's strategy is to offer a device working the way Apple believes it should work. If you have a different opinion, then "you are holding it wrong". You know that form where you can suggest a fix or a feature? I'm pretty sure the form submits into nowhere. If you take a forum such a this one, and do a search for easily implementable suggestions, then select the most popular ones, and then screen out the controversial ones leaving only what absolutely makes sense, you'll find out that none of them have been implemented by Apple. That's Apple's approach/strategy/vision — enforced religiously on all levels.

Adult and child alike , sporting a £999 + phone ..... emoji work as you can send them to anyone, with any phone, any OS . Maybe 2018 .....actually who am I fooling the 5 and 6 design will continue to be milked and you will not an X1 or XS to get onto the animoji niche segment

Let’s see next January how the interest in the iPhone has “waned”.

Yeah the insulting extravagant pricing increase in the iPhone 8 & X will NOt have higher sales, revenues nor profits this fiscal year for Apple. I’d be heavily surprised if it was. This is good for Apple and us the consumer cause it’ll force Apple’s CEO, the board and internal engineers to rethink strategy of iPhone and retail pricing

Be interesting how many after having to pay the price hike of the X will also purchase the home pod . Majority are aiming at £1150 for an iphone

Laughable, This coming from a magazine...A MAGAZINE??? they are just struggling to stay "relevant" in a world that doesn't need them. I honestly don't care where anyone ranks according to them.

Any kind of "lists" on any magazine is just a lazy way to pad up content. People shouldn't be paying attention to these arbitrary lists.

I’m eagerly awaiting Tim Cook to be replaced.

By one of the many possible candidates from our forum posters here who are apparently more qualified than he is.

Sorry, didn't get why you quoted my post. It has nothing to do with your reply besides the fact that you also used the word "eagerly." I wasn't supporting or bashing Cook nor Cue, but mocking Vanity Fair's stand on judging tech industry executives.
