I think it’s literal. It’s “just air”.

“Announcing the new Apple Empty Box. Filled with absolutely nothing. This isn’t a beta version. Nothing, absolutely nothing can go wrong. Air just works. All for the incredible price of $999. And there’s more. We’re now taking pre-orders for the new Air Pro at an amazing $1,999. It’s exactly the same box, but we’ve written ‘Pro’ on the side. And we think you’re going to love it."

the new 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air models are expected to have Thunderbolt 4 ports
All M-series Macbook Airs starting with the first model in 2021 have had Thunderbolt 4 ports. Is the expectation that they'll be getting Thunderbolt 4 digital video output? They're currently limited to Thunderbolt 3 for video output.

Edit: I see now that my source for this info lists the Thunderbolt version numbers in a confusing way, using terms like "Thunderbolt / USB 4", and that these ports are actually Thunderbolt 3 speed, power delivery, number of monitors they support, etc. So upgrading the ports on Macbook Airs to true Thunderbolt 4 would be a welcome thing.

Surprised no one has pointed out this is the exact same branding as the M2 MacBook Air had on Apple.com when it first launched.

Why does he use his personal X account to tweet about product announcements instead of Apple's account?
The reason is Apple has never used that account to post anything, they just got it to use a placeholder account that can be used when official sponsored ad posts are shown on your feed, as it has to be from some account. Otherwise, the actual account has never posted anything as far as I'm aware. Secondly, an ad on Tim Cook's account makes it seem more personal.

If he continues this trend, then can expect the same clues for the next iPhone for the fall launch as well? No more decoding the Media Invitations.

Hmmm.... no.
Uh...yes.

X platform brings in more dollars which funds more projects, more products, more services, and of course keeps shareholders happy which you probably don't care about but it's a fact of life from buying products from a publicly traded company.

if shareholders aren't happy, Tim Cook would just raise prices or find some way to extract $$$ from you to which you will pay or you will refuse by leaving the Apple ecosystem. if that's the case, was all of that trouble worth getting Tim off of X?

Doesn't the object flying through the AIR letters look more like an Apple Pencil? Can't see the ends of the object (seems almost purposefully masked/cut out), but the lateral edges look more pencil-like. Not perfect/the angle makes me think a bit more pronounced, almost like a carpenter's pencil (I think some other popular tablet pens have that look). But it's an odd object to use to do that when they could have used anything. Anyway, makes me think iPad Air first, possibly combined announcement with MacBook Air (are they really going to do separate events for these? Seems a bit much...but they've definitely been changing up their announcement strategy anyway since COVID).
OR, sure, finally a touch-screen MacBook Air compatible with Apple Pencil. But...probably not. I think we'd hear more rumors beforehand if Apple was finally doing away with its stance on touchscreen laptops (and it'd be a shame anyway...I don't know a single friend with a lame HP touchscreen laptop that actually uses the touchscreen a month or more into ownership).
