Decent attempt today@15min workouts.
Managed to increase from 43 to 51-May.
Quite happy.
Due to watch os 4.1 update and iPhone 8 wirelessly re charging, I don't have a screenshot.
Thanks everyone for the May challenge encouragement:D

36 workouts of at least 15 minutes. Won't be an issue as I get 31 of those automatically. Much easier than last month. I think I stress more about the new goals than I should. (For example, what June's goal might be.) Am I the only one that does less workouts (but continues exercising) out of fear of the potential of unreasonable goals set by Apple?

That was mine last month. I think Apple should give you one recovery day a week. Doubling your move goal isn't a recovery day.

Apparently Apple heard me. My June goal is to double it 30 times, meaning no recovery days. Very funny, Apple. I guess the 112,003 active calories burned last month wasn't enough for you! ;)

Impressive

I thought I was doing great@3.5 k burned during May

Thought maybe 5K calorie June challenge.

I didn't wear my watch a few days in May and then I spilt the month between wearing watches paired with two different iPhones so my app thinks I was lazy. I need to close my move ring 26 days this month.

Unfortunately, I broke my record of closing all three rings since December 3rd in doing this but at least now I won't feel so bad when I have an off day.

I got mine finished a few days early, 43 workouts of 15 min, by breaking workouts into 15m chunks. My wife managed her 620 Calorie average a day early, but it is now glitched and says she completed 622 workouts of 15 min. Second month in a row that her badge says something completely absurd. Apple really needs to fix their app. We already got our June first thing this morning. Mine being 200% 6 times and her's being 45 workouts of 15 min. Though, from previous experience, I'm waiting a week to see if it changes randomly before I worry about completing mine.

Two months back, I had to do 15 workouts of 15 minutes or more. Totally nailed that of course. This past month, I did no "workouts" (still closed my rings every day). So now it wants me to do 2 workouts! Shouldn't be an issue!

Have not received a single challenge. Ever. I got my watch in August 2017.

I got my watch December 27th and didn't get my first challenge until March. So it can happen. But that was about 2 months without for me vs. about 10 months for you. That definitely sounds wrong. I didn't do anything consciously to get mine up and running, so sadly I don't have any useful advice. As far as I can tell, mine just suddenly started working out of the blue. Hope you get yours figured out.

I will keep with my routine. If I get a challenge, cool. If not, I am not bothered by it. I enjoy the watch at its features, and it proves to be useful for tracking my physical activity.

New challenge is to do 5 15 minute workouts. Do they have to be Apple workouts as it is saying 0 despite having two Strava workouts over 15 mins.

Anything that feeds data to the Health app is supposed to work based on everything I've read, but I only use the Activity App to record workouts.

As for Challenges, are we using monthly achievements and special challenges interchangeably? You should have two achievements available every month. One to fill your Move Ring every day, the other is a poorly randomized and very buggy month long challenge. Those are different from the Special Challenges, but included the Ring in the New Year, Heart Month, International Women's Day, and Earth Day challenges so far this year (I never saw one for May).

I'm not sure why some people aren't getting monthly achievement challenges. I know they are buggy, but I've had them show up on the first of the month, every month that I've known to look for them. I got my watch late November, and had to send it in for a bad microphone in December, so I didn't really get into the challenges until after Christmas. So I don't know if they were there from day one, but I suspect they should have been. Apple really needs to spend a little time fixing this app if they want to keep pushing the watch as a fitness device. There was a comment from Apple (don't recall who made it) that they were considering adding rings. Maybe fix the ones we have while you're at it!

I’ve had a challenge every month since last October but not always on the first. Still nothing for June but time will tell...

NRC doesn’t count. At least not for me. I found this out last month when goal was a certain number or 15 minute workouts. I ended up chopping other workouts in 15 minute sessions.

So I just received my June challenge: double the movement (red) ring 12 times. Should be fairly easy.

So far my challenges have been:
10/2017 - Burn 20626 calories
11/2017 - Achieve an average of 64 minutes of exercise each day.
12/2017 - Double the movement ring 3 times
1/2018 - Achieve an average of 67 minutes of exercise each day.
2/2018 - Complete three exercises in a month
3/2018 - Achieve 240,6 km in a month (240 km of what?)
4/2018 - Double the movement ring 12 times.
5/2018 - Close all three rings 29 times.
6/2018 - Double the movement ring 12 times.

Some of these does not show the challenge but the result. Some was a walk in the park (e.g. complete three exercises in one month which I easily completed on day three), but others (like the 67 minute exercise average) were a lot harder.

As for the achievement/challenge interchangeability: My phone is set to Swedish. it says "Utmaning för juni" which literally translates into "Challenge for June", but the tab is called "Prestationer" which is "Achievements" Do phones set to English say challenge or achievement?

My challenge for June is to close my activity ring for 30 days…which is equal to the perfect month challenge.

I feel Apple seriously needs to update the algorithm that produces these challenges.

The tab is Achievements and the monthly challenge is June Challenge when the phone is set to English.

Your March challenge was just cumulative distance walked/run. I don't know if you'd get credit for any other exercise. Swimming maybe, but I doubt cycling.

Thanks!

Can confirm: No cycling, no skiing counts. I wish the algorithm took into consideration which activities you do and don’t. I am a cyclist but I can’t run at all due to injuries. On the other hand if it did I would surely receive a “bike 500 km in one month” challenge in January.
