Apple is determined to keep behind in technology?

I don't know what your point in saying this was, but Apple is not behind in technology. Just because there is a new Android that is released every other day, doesn't make the iPhone "outdated."

I'm with the majority that is completely happy with my iPhone. Maybe the phone just isn't for you. That is why you have alternatives such as BlackBerry, Android, etc. Find a phone that works best for you.

Marketing only goes so far, before lack of functionality or shoddy workmanship will kill it. The iPhone is not driven solely by marketing. It just works so well the marketing has gone word-of-mouth. I see them everywhere, men, women, kids, everyone's got them. And they all seem happy with them.

I went to the AT&T store today and played with a few windows phones an HTC Android phone and the Samsun infuse.

The samsung is HUGE! The screen is incredibly bright, the phone responsive. I played with it and I don't have huge hands and was able to one hand it for most things. The OS is, lets face it, very iOS like wich is very old school palm pda like. I think the biggest thing that will take getting used to is having 4 buttons on the bottom. There is something to be said for the stupid simple 1 button deal but it won't take much to get used to. The quality of the iPhone FEELS better but thats about the only thing IMHO it has going for it.

I did not like the interface much on the HTC, very clunky. The Samsung was fine.

Will I jump ship? I think I ought to think it over first. I'd have to upgrade my wifes line, swap sim cards around ect. No big deal as I've done it before. I also like to make rash decisions so waiting is good.

Now I'm not saying the iPhone is horrible, I have owned a bunch. I'm more tired of Apple just not letting you customize things you should be able to.

WM7 is just not for me. I played with it and while it's fairly nice it is lacking some basic things like copy & paste. It's a very social geared phone which is a step ahead if you want that. I can take it or leave it. It's also very fast. The hardware seems lacking for now, getting into one of those is equivalent to my iphone 4 and I want to move forward.

Only time will tell.
