I really hope a bunch of these folks get burned!

A bit extreme.

But, you know, it's your attitude (must-have, and, royally-pissed-off-if-I-can't-get) that fuels their trade.

I wouldn't buy from them. I'm too cheap. :) What's a few week's wait? No biggie. Take that!

Capitalism at its finest, and the perks of a free market.

If someone is stupid enough to pay a hefty premium for a new phone, there's no reason not to sell if you wanna make a few bucks.

Agreed. I have no problem with people doing this. If someone doesn't want to wait a month and is will to spend the money, then have at it.

Personally, I wouldn't pay that much to get a phone early. I'd place my order with Apple or a carrier and wait it out.

I noticed that there are many people who are looking at paying +$100 over retail for these phones on craigslist or kijiji. And they are buying them in bulk. So most likely to reship back to China and re-sell.

Interesting. Prices in China seem to be very high. Anyone have experience selling or seeing people sell their iPhones as they get them on launch day outside Apple stores. Could Apple ask you to stop?

For the people who do this, with a phone or an extra one, more power to you. For people who buy 50 of them to screw the line over, I hope you get robbed on your way out.

Have you seem that happen? Do they then ship them abroad or sell them to other people in line?

Hell, I've resold things at a profit before. Are you saying I don't report that on my taxes?

Of course not. I said that "buying something and selling it at profit without reporting it on your income taxes is illegal in most countries." I didn't say anything about what you report on your taxes, I was just saying that people who don't report that sort of thing on their taxes are breaking the law in many countries. What you report on your taxes is between you and the government, and isn't any of my business.

Fortunately its NOT ILLEGAL in this country.

I'm probably not familiar with the laws in your country. I was making a blanket statement referring to people from the USA/Canada/EU countries. If you don't live in one of those countries than I have no idea what the tax laws are.

I'm in the Tampa International Mall line and there's a BIG group of what are clearly paid scalpers that grew from 4 people at 6PM to 15+ now. Apple knows they're up to this BS, mall security's tried to intervene and even the Tampa PD came out but there isn't much they can do >:-[

You ordered an iPhone 6 from the T-Mobile store?

You know that it will come LOCKED to T-Mobile, right?

Only phones purchased from Apple Stores or Apple.com for full price come unlocked.

They are mailing it just like the apple phones and I paid full price for it $930
Are you 100% sure proof?

Buy it from Apple? Unlocked.

Buy it from T-Mobile? Locked.

You're a pretty bad scalper to not know what, and how to buy phones...

Next time do a search - this is well-known.

If you sold it on the basis that it was unlocke then I sure hope you refund the guy's money.

No kidding.. What a doorknob.

I'll sell about six 6+'s and a few 6's this year. Every single one will be unlocked -- properly. They'll also be double-checked to ensure they're unlocked. ALSO, on many of them, they'll include AppleCare+ and expedited shipping, etc..

travis64 should try to do his research first....

Nice. I sold a couple on Ebay. I have a few more 6's which I haven't sold, but I feel like maybe craiglist is a better option or at least selling them after on / after launch day will get higher prices. Where are you selling them?

Didn't sell it as unlocked

How can this person I sold it to get it unlocked?

I'm not telling you how to fix your problems... LOL

Go and research a bit. All your answers are on here.. Kinda... Buried amongst hundreds of stupid posts..

Craigslist is nice.. Cash deals. Although, if I didn't have a CCW, I probably would be a whole lot more cautious about doing face-to-face deals for iPhone 6+'s off Craigslist..

As they should be.

I really hope a bunch of these folks get burned!

LoL yeah they should all die!!!!

LoL what a joke.... what do you or any one else care what others do with their phone? If I buy a phone and some moron wants to give me $1200 for it agian... why do you care? Sour grapes? When the iPhone 4 came out I bought 4 of them.... sold 3 which paid for all 4 phones, shipping and all fee's and I STILL walked with $350 in my pocket... had all 3 sold before they were even released and got a bit over 1k for each. Bet that really chaps your hide huh.

Eh, no. Good capitalism = creating value. Scalping is one of the downsides of a free market (although let's be honest, people scalping iPhones are not operating within the legal market, they're breaking the law and operating in a grey/black market 99% of the time).
LoL what are you talking about? It's perfectly legal for one to sell a good they own.... Not sure what info your getting and what "genius" you're getting it from.

I'm absolutely creating value when I sell the phone. I do all the research to ensure the phone is unlocked, has AppleCare+, and is delivered to the buyer in perfect shrink-wrapped perfection.

I stay up late, put thousands of my own dollars at risk (not to mention my own safety sometimes). I make enough to pay for my own two phones, plus a bit extra. It's well worth the time involved.

It's what *ALL* retailers do. Buy from a distributor and sell to the public.

Don't want to wait in line? Don't want to stay up till 4am ordering? Still want the phone on 9/19 or close to that? I'll take care of you. BUT, it will cost you.

I see, interesting. So you're using craigslist as well? How about trying to sell to people that waited in line to get their new iPhones at the Apple Store, but weren't able to. I feel like by going to the source (Apple Store) you'll have tons of people willing to buy.

If I do craiglist I'm thinking about meeting buyers at a bank. Does that seem safe?
