That’s the magic of Steve. If we went back to the actual products, actually they are not as “amazing” as Steve made them like. Steve made it like he really believed in the products so when he said things in the keynotes (maybe he really did), you would get that emotion and it made you want to buy them. It’s amazing how different things feel without those
hell of a salesman, not a nice human being

AirPods(160), iPad 10'(330) , iPhone 7(450), iPod Touch(200), Apple Watch Series 3(280) is already doing that.I’ve been reading Macrumors longer than shown in my profile. Great site and hope it carry’s on.
Miss Steve’s keynotes and vision. Not replaceable. Apple isn’t the same and we can discuss this all day long without anyone agreeing!! I do feel Apple need to show more innovation and take risks. They need cheaper products that can hook new customers into their eco system.
Just like the iPod did.![]()
Keep telling that to yourself. He's been turning over in his grave many times since Timmey took over.
Half of the stuff Apple has released since Jobs's death has been one step away from pure junk.
MacRumours can now legally get drunk in Canada.
He's right though and why get worked up?What the hell man, this is not the occasion to hate him, especially if didn't screw you over.
Just a dead icon's birthday remembered fondly. Don't need to chop him down, he is already dead. There were/are worse CEO's who ran/are running their companies by being choir boys.
I don't think Apple can take the big risks like the small Chinese knock-offs can. The resulting PR media onslaught could do irreparable harm to Apple, mores than any sluggish economy ever could. Apple has to be calculating. Steve was willing to gamble big buck then. Don't think the same should be done today.I miss how Apple's products are so eye-popping back then. Now some Chinese brands proved to be more risk takers than Apple in term of radical designs and advertisements. Hoping to see more from Apple.
This is an amazing assertion and very true. Apple is still doing Apple things and making solid products, most of which are not revolutionary but instead their flavor of existing technologies. The reality distortion field is gone. What’s gone is the reality distortion field and exemplary keynote performances. Other than those, Apple products themselves actually still follow what Jobs has visioned, considering Jonny Ive is still with the company.
Steve Jobs was reluctant on many occasions to dwell on the past. Apple is only doing what Steve would have wanted.I think it says a lot about today's Apple that there is nothing on its website commemorating Steve's birthday. Good job Macrumors, so sad Apple.
