I've been looking for an iPhone 6 plus 128 Gray for AT&T since the day of the release, but with no luck so today I decided to go to Apple store and wait in line. I got there and there was an Asian family (mother, father and two boys around 20 years old) they all had the iPhone 6 plus in their hands and they were still in line. The Apple employee came out and took one of the boys in and he came out with two iPhones 6+, the other one was taken in and that one too came with two iPhone 6+, they took the phones to the car and came back in line to get more, the father and the mother each got two of the iPhone 6 and they came again and stood in line. As my turn came the employee told me they were out of the iPhone 6+:mad:
Why isn't Apple limiting one phone per person?

u let 2 ppl cut in front of you and didn't say anything. Didn't want to appear racist?

as long as the filming isn't for commercial or public distribution on public property its completely legal

-------

Also flood of sprint phones in LA area on istocknow, praying for att phones
But what was the purpose of u filming? You think the apple employees care what people do with their phones?

Got my confirmation email. How long before store sends email that item is ready for pickup?

when i got my 5s i got a confirmation email but when I went to the store cus I hadn't gotten my pickup email they had sold it, got my email the next morning and picked it up

We improved the email sending, we were sending one mail after each other, now sending by 500 in one request :) (using an API instead of SMTP).

Double checking... as long as my email is at the top and i check create my alert then Im good? Havent gotten any alerts at all

@istock, what are you finding in terms of caching on the apple side? is there anyway you figured out how to get around it?

the reason I bring this up is because the ip6plus tracker seems to hold onto stock for a good 15 minutes despite it not supposed to be caching locally.

so I am eligible for upgrade pricing and just picked up a 128gb gold plus for verizon in store. This isn't exactly the model that I want, but I settled anyway. Let's say the model that I actually want comes in stock for store pick up, would I be able to pay full price for it in order to reserve it at the store, and then return the one that I don't want and purchase the one that I reserved for the upgrade pricing? a bit confusing but I searched and couldn't find anything. Thanks

We're gonna update the "manage alerts" tabs so that you can at least check them (and later delete them).

Will post here when something new.

edit : PM me your email, if you want me to check now.

And now it's gone.... Lasted about 10 minutes though

Actually it is still there. Anyone looking for a SG Plus 128GB on AT&T should check the NYC 5th Ave store.

NOTE ABOUT STOCK ONLINE FOR APPLE STORES!!!!!

I've posted this before, but just so everyone knows: the online "availability" is not always true. We went to an Apple store in Baltimore yesterday. Upon arrival, it said they had NOTHING in stock - for any carrier, any size, any color. My husband decided to ask anyway, and they had NUMEROUS ones in stock for Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, AND T-Mobile. They literally asked what color and size we wanted, as they had them all. Unfortunately, we couldn't get them because the Apple store doesn't offer Verizon EDGE to new customers. (You can only upgrade.) So, I wouldn't necessarily let the site deter you, FWIW.

Not really news.

The online inventory is what is specifically allocated for store pickup orders. Apple maintains two separate inventory databases: one for walk-ins and one for online ordering for in-store pickup. The walk-in inventory pool gets priority. The in-store pickup pool only gets units if Apple has a surplus.

Scored a 6 Plus 64GB! Finally!

After trying for days to get the TMobile iPhone 6 Plus 64GB Silver (with no success) and lining up in front of the store this morning at 5 AM (with no success), I decided to try monitoring for the VERIZON one instead, as I read it comes unlocked anyway. As soon as one came online (NYC 5th Ave store), I ordered it successfully on the first try! At the Apple store, I asked to cancel the order, and bought the phone full price instead. It's working fine with TMobile! It took the Apple genius some time to figure out how to cancel the order, but she did it eventually.

When ordering the Verizon phone, just pick any plan, and put any number for your social and driver's license number. This way they won't be able to run a credit report on you. :D

Such BS.

I went to Bethesda Row at 930. Small line. About 10 people. Waited for about twenty minutes. Person came out and asked what I wanted. I said 64gb space gray att. Said they didn't have it so I left.

I then drove to Montgomery mall. Line about 20 people (10:20). Person came out and asked what I wanted after I waited an hour. After telling him what I wanted. He said sold out.

I then drove to tysons corner. 15 people line but was moving SLOW. waited two hours. Person finally came out and asked what I wanted. After telling her, she said all sold out. I asked if she'll get in more today. She said all stock received today will be sold tomorrow.

I go back home and then I just check sea turtle for giggles. Betheada row shows that they have an att one after telling me they didn't. I call apple and tell them I went to the shop and was told that they didn't have one. After being put on hold for thirty minutes she comes back and says sorry. That was just sold. Give me your name and number and I'll call when they come in. At this point I'm trying to figure out if I should just order through apple. I really feel like they'll forget that they have to hold one for me and I'll won't hear from them until like next week.

Pretty irritating.

Oh yeah. They had plenty of silver and gold.

They did not cut in front of me all 4 of them were in front of me and after getting all the 6+ they stood in line again, but behind me
