Tonight 1am order online for in store pickup Saturday

For anyone in the PA area, there have been 6's for ATT in Philadelphia. The Apple Store on Walnut St, to be exact. Last week they had the gold 64 GB for a couple of days for pick up. This week it's the gold 128. Was able to place the order online, after waiting to see if they would restock the 64. Since they didn't and the 128 has been available for the past couple days, hubby ordered it for me.

While waiting for someone to help us, we saw a woman who was able to just walk in and buy a phone. Which phone and what carrier, I don't know. But they might have something.

Just a heads up.

Makes sense. I was under the impression the SIM card took care of it.

I bet the map is going to show a sea of green in China soon!

Then quickly turn to a sea of red...

Well i drove 40 miles to the store, and they couldnt get the system to work to sell me the phone after 2 hours, and then drove home.

Then today I had to drive back to the store to get the phone, so she did it as a courtesy since i had to drive a total of 160 miles lol.

But it was nice they did that for me since obviously they didnt have to

They became available last night around 1:40am for multiple Dallas stores. Scored ATT 6 Plus 128 gig. :)

Check stores around 11am for walk in stock.

What do you mean for walk in stock? Not all stock is available for reservation?

This is the worst part - you have to physically go in. They won't let you if they have none or a dozen over the phone. All they will do is tell you what it says on the public site. I've had all this confirmed for me by multiple apple employees.

If they tell you no on the phone is there a chance they have it in store?

Online they generally appear to go up around 11:20-11:40 with some stragglers that pop up here and there in the next hour or two (though not all the time).

Honestly, best bet is to get there early and be one of the first couple people in line at a store.

Thanks but what about the stocking times during the day??? Too difficult with work to physically get there.

So was that it? The entire refresh? If so, that was pretty weak, at least for California.

Finally got a 6+ 64GB Space Grey! I reserved with the 2 year but hopefully they will let me switch in store to Next. If not then, the rush I got when finally finding one was fun I guess :rolleyes:

what I did last week was at the Apple store, ask for a manager and tell them you want to cancel the 2 year contract; you can within 14 days with no penalties and want the phone under the NEXT program... the manager then needs to call AT&T and have them reinstate your upgrade eligibility; should take 5-10mins... they'll tell you 24-72 hrs... if you have the AT&T app, keep refreshing your upgrade eligibility page and when you see it, tell the Apple people and they'll process it for you right away... they'll only charge you the tax on phone...

Thank you! I will try that tomorrow when I go to pick it up and see how it goes. Hopefully it goes as smooth as you describe it.

remember, always be polite... they're doing you a favor... I've heard a lot of stories where they flat out refused it... I tried it the night before at the 24 hr Apple store in NYC and they said no...

actually, dont ask for the manager right away... it may come off as rude...

Just so you guys know, if you simply cancel the pickup it wont even touch your upgrade eligibility....

I didnt even buy the phone and return it, all I did was cancel the in store pickup, and they brought the phone out for me to purchase as ATT Next. With this method, your eligibility wont even be a problem.
