Is there anyway I can reserve online(in the U.S.) and pay when I get to the store? I have an Iphone I want to trade in and use that credit towards the new one, but If checkout online I automatically get charged the full amount right?

The only way I can think of is buying online for in-store pickup so I can wait in the short "reservations" line, and cancel once I'm in there and rebuy with the credit they will give me for my other iphone?

They had the one available at my Apple Store but when I went to the final checkout it said ATT NEXT not supported for store pickup.

Infuriating

Anyone try reserving the phone and go to Apple store and pay it full price? I want to get a VZW and use it on ATT. I would reserve it as a new customer and go to Apple and buy the phone full price. When I tried to do that last year, they told me they could not change it to full price only device....

How long do they hold your reservation? Do they release it if you don't pick it up for a certain amount of time? I'm taking a flight home from a conference and it looks like I'm cutting it real close to their closing time. Hoping once it's processed I can pick it up to 48 hours or something

If you're based in the UK, check out - http://iphone6stockchecker.com for a quick overview of availability in Apple stores.

I've been watching over the past hour and stock is varying by the minute - so if you keep an eye out, you may be able to nab one before the midnight rush

So I went by the Apple Store in Lincoln Park, Chicago today and they were saying to just keep checking the website periodically as they're now on a real time inventory system so there's not necessary a set "update time." This appears to be true as I've checked a few times today and have seen different stores come in and out of stock. Unfortunately none of them were close for the model I'm looking for.

In my experience with my MBP they gave a 7 day time window. I don't know if iPhones are the same way but your "your order is ready" email should tell you.

Please let us know how this works out for you guys if you do it. I almost tried this myself as I could have ordered what I wanted for pickup this AM, but decided not to in the end.

Otherwise I am just gonna get my order in for delivery the end of October I guess.

Just got back from my local Apple Store. I was going to do the pick up in store option last night but when it said "No Next can be picked up in store" I held off. Well, the Apple store is telling me, Next is NOT an option for in store pickup. If I order online for in store pickup I pay the price on the website, go to the store and pick up the phone and that's it. I would have to pay either the subsidy price or full price then take up the issue with AT&T after that but Apple isn't issuing me a refund of any sort unless I'm returning the phone within the allowed timeframe.

So it looks like I'm just going to go into a hold pattern for now.

Curious if anyone is actually able to get there store to do the Next program and how?

Thanks!

How long are these phones available for pickup before they go back to unavailable? Would I have time to cancel my pre-order and select in store pickup? I just checked and from Va to Ga there were a few gold 6+ configurations in Va for Verizon but that was it.

My order (SoHo, NY) is still processing. What about everyone else?

I saw on twitter that there are still thousands of people from china town lined up and sleeping on the street, so maybe the stores don't release the stock to online orders because of that?!

I don't know about everyone elses stores, but the one in Dallas (Knox) had a line wrapped around the building this morning at 9am lol

I would assume EVEN IF they do get inventory, they're just gonna sell to people in that line.... and not even update the website for store pickup availability.

I know I'm crazy, but I just reserved a 64GB grey AT&T Plus in Columbus, OH which is 2.5 hours away each way. They finally got some in this afternoon it looks like. I had to cancel my 3-4 week shipping order and wait about 2 minutes before I got my eligibility back.

I doubt you can do it online. It must be done in store

Yes, ATT Next can only be done at Apple store as a walk in customer. You can't order online (subsidy or full price) and go into the Apple store to change it.

You can however WALK in and if they have any 6 +'s do the Next program but good luck walking in right now and finding a store with an available 6 +.

Just got mt ready for pickup email from apple this morning, going to drive over to Northridge to pick it up tonight:D

What's the link you are all using to check inventory and reserve? Every time I select pick up in store I get the same unavailable message for every store on the west coast

You're doing it right... they're just unavailable everywhere near you. Try switching colors, storage, etc... and see what's available in your area

Not what I was told. They have to cancel the order and then sign you up for Next. I'll find out in the Next hour or so.

I picked up my order from around 3 AM at the Soho store this morning (around 10:45). Got a space grey 64 gig AT&T. The normal line was insane! The reservation line was about 45 minutes though

Found a 16GB 6 Plus SG in the next city but I want at least the 64GB. Boo.

Is there a way I can pay in store as opposed to online?
