What did you bring with you to pick it up? Does your ID address need to match the billing address?

I had my passport and driver's license, but the guy only checked the license. I believe the addresses need to match as well.
 
So online you chose 2 year agreement with Verizon? How did you get through all that BS with Verizon? I don't wanna give them all my information and act like I'm signing a contract with them, when I really just want the damn phone haha

Unfortunately there was no way around it. I had to give them all my info and I am sure I got a credit hit too but I am not concerned about it since I know how to bump it off my credit report. :D
 
Apple store can change contract from 2 year to Next. It takes a ton of work. They had to actually complete the purchase, give me a gift card with the amount paid, and then cash the gift card at the end. Still here working out the details, but it can be done. Dude I'm working with is fantastic. Apple customer service is above and beyond anyone in the industry. Its not even close. Good luck everyone!
 
Looks like a bunch of stores keep getting 6+ 64 GB's in certain colors around New England and New York. Too bad I live in Maine and only have one store to choose from... But at least we have a store, some states don't.

I'm just desperately refreshing 6+ 64 GB's preferably in Space Gray and checking all the stores and some new ones are popping up available, so I'm hopeful! Come to Maine please...
 
Yeah I too got a 16gb for store pickup but I'm contemplating just canceling. I think I need 64gb lol but they're so hard to come by! Especially for T-Mobile space gray.

I wish I could find someone who wants this 16gb plus. I'd let them do the store pickup and enjoy it more than I probably would.

You got the one that I wanted! It disappeared from availability right as I was checking out! Lol I know we are prob not even in the same city.

Yea that's the model I want too but in silver...none in NC yet, but I'm in no real rush just would be nice to get this over with and have the phone haha
 
My order is now showing up as Cancelled as well. Placed around 2.30AM EST, it was showing up as "Processing your Items" until perhaps 30 minutes ago when it suddenly changed to Cancelled. I did not even receive an email. Been on hold with Customer Service trying to reach a CSR for 25 minutes now, hopefully we'll know what's going on shortly :S
 
I can confirm at&t next at Apple store works, ymmv though, I had placed a pick up in store by adding a new line to my account and the staff was very helpful and canceled that and placed the device under AT&T next. I cannot believe how friendly and enthusiastic everyone was, despite having a line going almost half around the building.
 
got my phone through pre-order have one on the way too!

I ordered my 64gig 6+ the night of the launch and got the october 1-6 shipping. But I had to pay full price because ATT would not move my eligibility date up.

SOOOOOO reading this forum at 430am today, I found that the pickup option was available.

So i quickly went on and ordered my iphone 6+ gold 64 gig on my early upgrade because it was available today to me. Original early upgrade date was 9/21. ATT would not budge on that date.

SOOOO the point is, I got my phone at the early upgrade price, saved myself $200 over paying the full price of the phone. My other phone is on its way to me and will be here thursday.

So if anyone in the los angeles area is looking for a gold 64gig iPhone 6+ and wants to pay the full price of the phone as I did plus the tax, they can buy this phone. I am not a scalper, and I am not looking to make any money. I just would like to see the phone go to someone who is looking for one and can't find it at the store.

me too... not sure why some people are saying you can't.... honestly it must depend on the store and if there are at&t reps on site.. in my case they had to get a new sim card.
Still waiting for the AT&T reps to provide a sim card for my line. I'm using my wife's upgrade. Congrats!!!!!
 
Can confirm you can order online under a 2 year and pickup. Return and swap to Next. It is a process but they work with you throughout the process. Took a minute but well worth it in the end. AT&T iPhone 6 Plus 128GB Silver @ North Point Mall in GA.

SOOOO the point is,

Your other well-made point is that ATT are total jerks. That they wouldn't give you the upgrade because of a few days is ridiculous. It's curious why Apple wouldn't smooth this over with the carriers, and how much was ATT losing on your couple of days...a few bucks? Jerks, I say. Jerks.

Anyway, glad things worked out for you in the end!
 
Tried to reserve one here in Alaska from 11pm until a little after 2am before finally giving up. Stock never refilled on any option for either model, even though the person I spoke with at the local store last night said they still had a lot on hand but had to cut the line off 5 minutes before I walked up because they felt it would be after 10pm by the time they got to the end. She cheerfully recommended I come back this morning, which isn't an option as they open at ten and I work at 10:30 until 7, and by then they will either be out of stock, or I'll run into the same problem I had last night ie line too long that late at night.

Happy to hear so many of you had luck though, maybe last night was a fluke and it will work tonight or tomorrow. Fingers crossed.
 
Just got off the phone with Customer Service... seems like the reason for the cancellation of my order was "No Stock"...
