Not really. I'm a hack, doing just what absolutely needs to be done to get a halfway decent result (witness my bug-ridden sig).
I expect accuracy from the good Doctor, and these... "approximations"... have rocked my beliefs in Q's infallibility to the core.
You should see mj's real post count...You think they delete posts.
Well, maybe not quick.
It's about as close to real-time as I can make it without being a burden to the servers. It updates every couple of minutes. The colors indicate offline (blue) or online (green), and I keep altering the time scale (number of posts) to mix things up a bit.
That seems logical. I'll re-check the members who claim they won't be posting again, even though they are still registered, and make any neccessary adjustments.But wouldn't iGary be "stuck" at his current 12.925, placing him 11th...?

Still, 36th over the past two years and a predicted top 50er in six months time though, so I'll take some comfort in that.

You know, with that thing in Leopard, you'll be able to take Mad Jew's user profile and turn it into an MJ widget really easily. Of course, by then, he'll have so many posts that it will cause a buffer overrun, and people will exploit it and accuse you of having created a zero-day flaw in OS X.

As a note, wdlove was here on Christmas and finally updated his 'tar, so at least he's still paying some attention to this place, even if he's not posting.

Well, I guess I posted a lot more than I realized while studying for quals this fall!
Its sometimes sad that some of the folks aren't around any longer. E.g. wdlove. I remember many discussions with him but as well many others.
