Yeah because that hasn't been posted 4 million times already

Still funny.

I don't think this s real. He doesn't look like a typical Apple engineer.

Woosh

Not boring, it's actually one of those memes which stay funny for an extended period of time.

Microsoft Surface Studio announced the day before and ready to demo in Microsoft stores that same day. Apple won't demo it until customers receive it. Sounds like they are afraid of reviews hampering sales.
All tech websites already demoed it.

Okay....so??? Did you read my post? My point was not that a bunch of tech people got to see it. My point is they are not letting the public play with it....you know....the people actually spending the money. Who cares if the tools over at Engadget played with it? Those guys still think we are sending a telescope to another galaxy.

It's not.

I broke down and ordered one from B&H this week. I was originally thinking this generation would be my laptop for around 4 years, but this is a cycle where the BTO prices are pretty bad and the base models aren't quite enough. I was going to wait one more generation but a close friend was really hoping to buy my old machine. I let his needs convince the consumer in me. Haha.

I'll probably sell this and get my long term box on the next refresh.

I think 32GB of RAM and 1 TB SSD are going to be a requirement for a machine I buy in the near future if it's to be a long term workhorse. But, an 8-12 month rental machine that resells on Craig's List works for now!

Now that I have vented my rage at the :apple: powers that be, I hope everyone who gets one enjoys it and may it last you a long time. I will probably play with one once they hit the stores.

I should know me enough with Apple now: rage against the machine > play with item > get over rage and start drooling > maybe buy but probably not. For me, it is the principle of Apple's attitude more than anything else now.

Looking forward to the reviews, enjoy them folks!

Our of curiosity, why did you order from them, instead of best buy, or apple, or amazon directly ?

Why would you think this is fake? Because he does not 'look' like an Apple engineer and speaks a foreign language.. You need more than that to convince me this is fake.
His name is Juan Joya Borja, a comedian better known in his native Spain as El Risitas.

Intel Optane SSDs might put a limit on RAM needs. If they're really as fast as claimed, page outs / virtual memory could be fast enough for even the most intensive task like video editing.

Why are these things always reported for every new Apple product? Is this really newsworthy? Slow news day? Stop the presses....Apple is shipping it's new item to customers.
Apple is one of macrumors main backers (financiers) so.... they pay for it.
To make you think something false is true, so business will pick up by you saying "oh wow, i guess everybody bit the bullet and bought it anyway, so i guess i gotta jump on it too"

That is all this news is. A.K.A. manipulated marketing. We do it all the time.

I'd probably believe it to be fake because that exact interview is years old and has been translated to comment on other foolish things apple has had the courage to do in the past.

Having said that, what is being translated is probably been monitored by Apple to see what response is given. So a dongle for a keyboard is probably in the works.

Mine still says processing with eta of 16th to 23rd Nov. Got my order in literally a couple of mins after the keynote finished. Any other Aussies got a "preparing for shipment" or "shipped" notification?

It's possible. And I might be fine with 16 for a while anyway. I was fine with 8 and only have 16 now because the used MBP I picked up was just too good of a deal to pass up. I wasn't actively shopping for a machine that was as burly as what I've got right now. My 13" Air is still my favorite Mac hands down but my wife isn't giving it back. Ha.

Stop trolling, its bad for your health.

This has to be the worst launch Apple ever did. Not saying about the product but about their supply chain. Yesterday I went to 2 Apple Stores and they don't even have the new MacBook on display. I was told it may take another 2 weeks for them to get one to display. How is that possible? Not even an Apple Store gets one?

HA! Definitely NOT real translations.

Because this video was from like 2012 or something like that. These are fake translations.

It'd stayed funny for an "extended period" back when it was first used for whatever the original use was years ago. Now it's just the official dank meme of bitter "Pro" users... was funny the first time or two, now people are just riding the circle jerk reposting it in every news article posted.
