Finally they shipped my MBP tb. I ordered it Monday (Nov. 14).

And... i'm still waiting for my silver one to actually depart. Still at the "Export Scan" phase. The first one only sat like that for part of a day. This one since Monday. Still says it'll deliver by Friday, if so, it better get going "Soon".

Update on my 13" TB Silver (3.3ghz/512GB/16GB) - i had a moment of anxiety when UPS updated midday yesterday saying it was not arriving until Monday... 4 hours later it updated again and said it was coming Thursday (today) - which was the *original* estimate from UPS. So, from Thursday to Friday to Monday back to Thursday. Rollercoaster UPS estimate ride!

On the other hand, the 13" TB Space Gray (same specs) is... i have to say, i'm liking the TB, the size, the weight... everything. I'm not phased much over the port issue as i'm happy to have just the adapter i need for now and i'm liking the ability to just plug it in on any side/port without having to look where to put something... the variable types of things i can plug in is actually nice. I'm not happy about losing magsafe - it would have been nice to keep; if anything, it made it so easy to plug up and off... now and then i'd accidentally disengage it without knowing though. With the battery life on this though... i'm thinking it'll be like my phone... plug it in at night, go all day without plugging it in except some rare occasions.

I just ordered the 13" Space Gray MBP with Touch Bar and ITS AVAILABLE TOMORROW THROUGHOUT MUCH OF MASSACHUSETTS. IM NOW CANCELLING MY ONLINE ORDER THAT IS SHIPPING IN DECEMBER!

Check to see if it's available through the Apple Stores in Salem or Nashua, New Hampshire Apple Stores. The drive there may save you some money.

Love my 15" MBP, but will have to take it into an Apple store for a swap. Sending diagnostics to apple revealed a battery drainage issue that limits my battery run time to 4 hrs of simple web browsing with the brightness at 25%.

NOT HAPPY.

My 15" is still processing but I ordered it from a third party not directly from Apple. Do hope to get it within the next two weeks which would be nice.

-Mike

My order remains processing with no updates whatsoever. I placed my order on 11/3 then a day or two later changed the color to space gray from silver. Ordered from B&H, 15" touch bar 2.6Ghz, 1TB drive, AMD 4GB.

I am going to return my MacBook Pro with the touch bar, I hate that the three finger drag doesn't work correctly, and I hate connecting dongles to it and I hate the keyboard, I thought I could get used to it but I cannot.

Really is the keyboard that bad? It seems the design from what I can tell is just like the keyboard on the current Mac Book which I tried once at a store but was not too crazy about it. I had hoped the keyboard would be better than the prior generation (i.e. 2015 MacBook Pro). I actually preferred the older MacBook Pro keyboard before they changed to the 2015 like design. I think the silver keys were so much more comfortable. One thing that may also take time getting used to will be the large touch pad.

I received mine a few days early on 11/14. I had problems with the keyboard and trackpad. I ran Apple Diagnostics, which reported both were fine. After a few days I brought it to the Apple Store. The genius said he couldn't run advanced diagnostics because they were not loaded onto the MacBook, most likely because they weren't ready yet since the model was so new. He agreed the keyboard was not operating correctly. They don't have repair procedures in place, so they're replacing the whole MacBook. But since it was BTO, a new one had to be ordered. I could either surrender the defective one and be without until the new one was ready, or buy a new one and return the defective one when I received the new one, ca. New Years. I chose the latter. They extended the return period to mid-Jan to cover enough time to receive the order, set up and transfer data to the new MacBook, and return the old one. Not ideal, since I have an extra $5k charge on my credit card - which will eventually come off. But it was relatively easy to deal with them compared to other times I've needed repairs or placements.

After entering the "Preparing for Shipment" stage on Thursday, the first wave of MacBook Pros with Touch Bars have begun shipping to customers for delivery next week. While Apple is quoting Wednesday, November 16 as the estimated delivery date, UPS is telling some customers that they can expect their new MacBooks on Monday, November 14.

When the Touch Bar MacBook Pros became available for pre-order on October 27 customers received shipping estimates ranging from November 17 to November 25, making UPS' delivery estimates a couple of days earlier than expected. Thus far, the majority of the MacBook Pros that have begun shipping have been 15-inch models and custom orders, according to MacRumors readers who have notified us of their shipping status.

Many 13-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar orders still haven't shipped, according to MacRumors readers. It's unclear when these models will begin shipping, but it could happen shortly after the 15-inch and custom-ordered MacBook Pros begin their transit.

The new MacBook Pros sold out quickly, with shipping estimates moving from 2 to 3 weeks to 3 to 4 weeks hours after they went on sale. Current shipping estimates are 4 to 5 weeks. Apple's Phil Schiller said that the company has received more online orders for the new MacBook Pro than any previous model. Slice Intelligence sales estimates suggest the new model has already outsold all competing laptops in 2016.

The 13-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar starts at $1,799 while the 15-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar starts at $2,399.

Update: Users are now reporting significant numbers of 13-inch models also shipping.

Well Here in Australia I have a fashion photographer that ordered a fully spec'd 2tb Macbook Pro on the 28th-OCT-16 and the delivery date now says 6th-Jan-17. For the past 3 weeks the date slipped 1 week evertime. Cant wait for Microsoft to bring out Windows 10 Unix and have a much wider choice of serviceable machines, to give these clowns a swift kick in back side.
