TRANSFORMERS: The Movie (2007)

When I was at the Hoover Dam this spring, a film crew for the Transformers movie was shooting footage of the dam. Should be interesting to see what happens in the film.

Here's hoping they spend more money and do a better job than the folks who brought us Superman I.

So now, Megatron is a tank and Soundwave is a helicopter. My question is, is this Transformer:The Movie, or a movie about transforming robots? This does not look good for the TF franchise.

that's exactly what i mean... i mean if they start changing all the Transformers around it will really confuse the geeks like us who grew up with the originals... but i guess it's only fair to say that it has to be that way... i mean theres no such thing as a sound recorder transforming and scaling to a robot size like Soundwave did in the cartoons.. it would be unrealistic

True enough, but if you're going to be watching a film about giant shapeshifting robots from another world then I suppose you're going to be happy to suspend belief for the two-hours or so you're in the cinema.

I'll never forgive the writers of the first movie for what they did to Optimus Prime.

It did, it was called Independence Day. LOL! Replace Mars with the moon and transformers with an alien space craft. Boom, same intro.

And come on, you know this movie is going to rock ... at least it better!

Almost orginal, Prime smokestacks have had to be cut down because of health and safety law , and Megatron is a big no-no .

The Japanese on the other hand, well anything goes - they trust there children not to point slightly real looking toy guns at people.

I already have them all, but might pick up some more so i can keep some in boxes unopened and some out to be played with.

Armageddon, very good film.

Pearl Harbour is "fun" and has the coolest use of a pump action shotgun in cinema history EVAR p ).

Havn't seen Bad Boys 2 or The Island, but the Omens are not that great.

Right now were in that moment just before the Phantom Meanace was released, utterly unaware of just how dreadful it would all turn out.

But, i live in Hope - Blind and stupid Hope, but Hope never the less.

I grew up looking at transformers also and i loved it!! but i always thought that the "Decepticons" looked cooler than the "Autobots".

Looks alright, but I still have my doubts. As much of a Transformer fan as I am, I just have a feeling this is going to turn into one of "those" movies...

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks it doesn't look right. Still not thinking Bay raped my childhood, but I wonder if I should even bother seeing it in the theaters. I waited until TPM was out for a while too, saw it at the dollar theater. My expectations were so low, it didn't even seem that bad.

Trailer looks nice for special effects but destroying my favorite show as a child (along with GI Joe) is just, well it should be a crime.

What looks so bad that it's prompting you to cry? It's a film adaptation of a cartoon series.
