Laugh about it all you want, remove your double standard goggles and see it for what it is. Had this been reversed, the tone would be completely different. Free speech was weaponized.

The First Amendment protects you from GOVERNMENT restricting free speech. In the United States of Corporations, companies can do what they want thanks to our corrupt conservative "Supreme Court". You conservatives made the bed, time to lie in it.

If you want to spout Russian propaganda like the Hunter Biden laptop story, perhaps you should be watching RT, but it is not incumbent upon anyone in the U.S. to be complicit in your attempts to further Putin's attacks on our country.

Conservatives and Republicans cry foul when they are tricked into foolishly aiding Russia, an enemy of our country, in its attacks on the USA. It's...well it's disgusting. In the eighties, we all acknowledged Russia was our enemy, and it still is.

The owner of the L.A. Times is a conservative. Both the New York Times and Washington Post obeyed Trump in advance, and Bezos even attended Trump's inauguration..after giving him money. The Wall Street Journal is conservative, and Fox is owned by a conservative. Where are the left wing papers and networks? I'm not being provocative, I'm serious. Which ones?
If you think the NY Times and Washington Post are Right Wing you better check again. They are only playing nice because they don't want to be on the *hi* list. All the major tech companies including Apple gave his campaign money. Watch CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS and MSNBC and try to say they are right wing organizations.

I never said NYT and WaPo are right wing. Like ABC, NBC, and CBS, they obey fascists in advance because they think it's good for business, thus giving fascism more power and credence. MSNBC is left but moving right, and CNN is in the center, not left wing in the slightest.

Can't we all agree that fascism and oligarchy are bad for this country?

They aren't right wing, but I wouldn't say they are left wing, either. I'm sure right wing people feel their coverage is biased, but for those of us on the left, their coverage feels too conciliatory toward an imaginary center they keep chasing. Of the stations listed, MSNBC is the most left-leaning, and even they drummed out Medhi Hassan when he was outspoken against Israel's all-out attacks on the Palestinians in Gaza.

I couldn't agree more, but why did so many Republicans vote for him?
The justices he appoints to SCOTUS are very conservative. So conservative, in fact, that he got Roe overturned. He also has very conservative tax policy, energy policy, and social policies. So why do you say he's not conservative?

Newly inaugurated US President Donald Trump on Tuesday expressed support for Elon Musk potentially acquiring TikTok, and also proposed a joint ownership structure with the U.S. government.

"I would be, if he wanted to buy it, yes," Trump told reporters at a White House event announcing a new AI infrastructure private sector partnership, where OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and Softbank CEO Masayoshi Son were in attendance. The comments came just days after TikTok briefly went offline in the United States following Supreme Court action.

The social media platform, which boasts 170 million American users, temporarily shut down for about 12 hours on Saturday after the Supreme Court upheld legislation requiring Chinese company ByteDance to divest its US TikTok operations. Trump subsequently issued an executive order providing a 75-day pause on the ban's enforcement.

During the White House event, where Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison was also present, Trump floated the idea of a 50-50 ownership split between any acquiring company and the US government. "They'll have something that's actually more valuable because they have the ultimate partner," Trump explained.

Trump specifically mentioned both Musk and Ellison as potential buyers during the event. Oracle already plays a significant role in TikTok's operations, hosting most of the platform's servers.

Trump originally supported banning the short-form video app over national security concerns, but his thinking has U-turned since winning the US presidential election for a second time. "We won the young vote. I think I won it through TikTok," Trump told reporters. "So I have a warm spot in my heart for TikTok."

So you say that X is losing. 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

X (formerly Twitter) is quickly rising to become one of the most used social media platforms.

Yeah that’s not true at all. Even by X’s own metrics they're losing users and eyeballs.

Any other decent country would have sacked him well before this H****er Salute and he's getting all these opportunities. Sick
Do you actually think Musk meant to do a Nazi salute? The guy is autistic and awkward as **** on stage. But he said "my heart goes out to you", it felt sincere to me. Like he was trying to convey a positive message and connect with the audience. It was obviously unscripted too. Just because his arm went up doesn't mean he was making a Nazi salute. There are countless images of other politicians with their arm up in a similar pose that could be mistaken for a nazi salute. But only if you deliberately take it out of context.

musk could clear this right up by releasing a statement denouncing nazis and white supremacy. very very casy things to denounce. but he won't, and that tells us everything we need to know.

No, because then they would say we’ll see what he did was a Nazi salute. You will never appease people that are out to hurt you politically. They will find something you’re doing and target it. This goes from both sides.

The best solution is just ignore the distractions and focus on what you need to do. All this stuff is just distraction intended to take his time away from what he’s trying to do

Elon could release a statement telling us what he WAS doing if it wasn't a Nazi salute

I'd be fascinated to know what so closely resembles it .. but isn't it ... that nobody in the world has figured out so far

Pople that support him and are not on the extreme left know what they saw. There’s no explanation he can give that would satisfy people that hate him. There’s no benefit for him to explain himself. None of these people are going to be like oh I used to hate Elon and everything he did, but now since he explained himself I’m a supporter.

Once upon a time, every morning in class, we would stand, put our hands on our hearts, and say the Pledge of Allegiance. Before it was hijacked by the German National Socialist Party in the early 1930s, with the words "and to the Republic," the Students would throw the hand that was over their hearts out to the flag hanging in the class palm up to salute the flag. I'll take "He who must not be named," throwing his heart out and showing off his children to somebody else, showing off his trophy wife.
