Yes you did. Trump was very clear that mass "expidited" deportations were going to be top of his agenda. Anyone who has any clue what the term "due process" means knew full well that due process would be the first thing cut from the program.

Which issues specifically? The ones about trying to make sure every American citizen gets to vote? Or the ones where women can be guaranteed reproductive healthcare? Or was it the ones trying to ensure Florida and California don't wind up underwater Texas and Alaska don't wind up with oil-covered shores (again)? Or is it just the ones that make sure the trannies and gays and minorities have the right to feel safe?

Please, tell me which issues Americans don't care about that you voted against. I've got my popcorn ready.

You continue to fall for the "both sidez" line even after it is clear you understand what your vote has contributed to. SMH.
You were so concerned about the dems ruining the country that you voted for… Donald Trump?

Bro.
Was destroy the country completely your preference?

That's like burning your house down because you don't like the food currently being made in the kitchen.
Guys, can we stop with the dogpiling?

He admitted that he was wrong, that takes character.

Again, I don't blame anyone for thinking the warnings were "hysterics" when there's a powerful media machine telling them that.

This encapsulates something I really don't get about MAGA
(and it confirms how much of a cult it actually is)

The 99% remark is a load of crap and it just shows bias and contempt. I know plenty of people who voted for trump who wanted to see if an outsider could actually change the course of 40 years of federal bureaucracy and theft from the american people. Plenty of trump voters are not happy with what's going on and how its happening. However, if you want to create meaningful change in a bloated gov't, with representatives ( from both parties ) who have dug this country an almost insurmountable hole to climb out of financially ( in order to serve their own self interests, personal financial gains and wealth preservation ), you have to break some eggs. He is directly hurting a small business I own ( i source some stuff from china ) and is hurting my stock portfolio too. I've never liked the man, but continuing down the fiscal path of the last 30 years, along with all the wacky crap that the democrats have been peddling in the last 5-7 years is just as nuts.

If people don't understand or can not see the financial train wreck that this country is headed for with the last 30+ years of washington ineptitude, i don't know how to wake people up any more.....

That is bit of an over simplification; what I did not expect was the Judicial department basically being pushed around.
SCOTUS granted him immunity and allowed him to run even though pretty much every legal scholar in the world said it was clearly unconstitutional. How on Earth did you come to expect a Judicial department that is already actively kissing the ring to not be "pushed around?"

Who is going to work in these US-based iPhone factories?
Who is paving your roads and highways? Americans, right? Isn't that boting and repetitive work?
Who is fixing your cars at service centers? Americans, right? Isn't that boring and repetitive work?
Who is checking you out at grocery stores? Americans, right? Isn't that boring and repetitive work?
Stop spreading nonsense statements like Americans won't do it.

Didn't Tim Cook specifically note that production outside of the US (China) wasn't a cost-cutting issue anymore, but an issue of engineering talent. China has more engineering talent, infrastructure, etc., that we (at the time) lack here in the US. Does that still apply? If so, then I think we have a more complicated matter.

Apple could just wait a day or two and everything will change again. No Tariffs! Now there is! Now there isn't! Apple's been down this road and learned the hard way that American's are lazy and don't want to do this type of work. And considering his Administration is just deporting a lot of folks that would probably want these jobs, this just isn't going to happen. At least not in the next 4-6 years. They'll hold out for his term to be over and then- oh yeah, he's not leaving. Hmmm...
Exactly. His buddies must need to make a quick buck again riding the stock market on these announcements.

The answer usually is:

MAGA folks thought "other people would be hurt", but not themselves.

They are ok with peopling being negatively impacted as long as it's "other people".

That's fair. There are some very serious problems going on in the US (and really, they date back to McCarthyism and probably even further than that). Trump is really only a symptom of bigger issues that will not go away when he does.

From my perspective both parties are bad for the country right now. The problem with the GOP is that they are massively sucking up to Trump when nearly all of them know damn well that what Trump is doing is harmful to the economy and country -- which you have to hand it to them, as bad as it is, they tow the party line no matter what.

The Dems are so dis-jointed and non organized that they look like morons, even if they are on the right side of whatever issue. Although the problem is that they are not on the right side of many issues IMO.

This adminstration may very well cause another civil war; that is how far divided I see both parties. My guess is the vast majority are probably moderate and we are basically ****ed no matter who we vote for. But I will admit that the current amount of ****ery going on is just insane.

At this point the rest of the world pretty much needs to tell the US to **** off -- and I know by saying that, that it will cause a massive amount of hurt to myself, but it seems it is going to be the only way Trump and the current administration will learn. I am actually surprised that Canada hasn't cut the power off already to those northern states, I mean Trump said we don't need them, so Canada, do it and do it yesterday.

Someone needs to force Trump to read both of these books...

Large scale highly technical manufacturing is not coming back to the United States anytime soon.

There's a reason things are built in China. US wages are too high to make this viable and the manufacturing experience that China has is unsurpassed. You can't just take it and move it elsewhere and call it a day.

I look forward to my $5000 iPhone to offset the cost of American labor !

While that is probably true to some extent, the only reason why China has such infrastructure now is because of manufacturers investing in Chinese manufacturing as a cost-cutting measure. This is a situation that Apple and other manufacturers created themselves over course of the past 20-30 years.

As for whatever Tim Cook has said, is saying, or will say - he's a CEO trying to justify not having to invest billions of dollars re-jigging his manufacturing infrastructure. A few grains of salt are definitely needed to make that dish palatable.

I do blame people for not understanding their actions.
This stuff is too important.

Nobody is dog piling anyone, at least not trying to. -- I think you're reading into it too much.
Maybe so, but I don't like dragging people down over this since I was fooled in 2016 and assumed that checks and balances would prevent any abuses of power then (it didn't).

Frankly, I think it's easy to "not understand" one's actions, when at least for the past 40 years, not much has changed at least with regards to the federal government. It's not like previous administrations made drastic cuts to Medicare, Medicaid, the Dept. of Education, or blatantly ignored the Constitution while kidnapping people off the streets.

Especially when there's been a decades-long effort to convince people that wouldn't happen while putting the pieces in place to make it happen.

He literally said Apple wouldn’t be able to find enough die and toolmakers and China outnumbers those available in the U.S. by football fields.

China has been focusing on STEM education for decades while Americans in high school dream to be social media influencers, real estate agents, and experts in the stock market.
