AirPosture is a small, free macOS menu bar app that uses your AirPods head-motion to nudge you when you start to slouch.

What it does:
  • lives in the menu bar
  • detects sustained forward head tilt while AirPods are in-ear
  • plays a gentle sound/notification to reset posture
  • adjustable sensitivity and grace period
  • no accounts, no cloud

Works with:
  • AirPods Pro (1st/2nd gen), AirPods (3rd gen), AirPods Max
  • macOS 12+ (Apple silicon and Intel)

Quick start:
  • connect AirPods to your Mac
  • launch AirPosture (menu bar icon appears)
  • press Calibrate while sitting upright
  • set sensitivity and a short grace (4–8s) to avoid false pings
  • optional: quiet hours or mute while on calls
Privacy:
  • no mic/camera/location
  • data stays on your Mac; no analytics
  • uninstall by deleting the app
Known limits:
  • needs AirPods models that report head tracking
  • only monitors while AirPods are connected and in-ear
  • helper tool, not a medical device
