Turned on XDR by PS5, with 4K@60Hz!

Here we go again...
4K 60 does work on the XDR display with Lindy 32115 (EDID emulator) & club 3d CAC-1334, just tried it today! Only downside is that HDR is not available with this combination. Maybe there's a way to program the EDID emulator to make HDR work, then this would be the perfect setup.

Reading up on the entire thread here and first of all want to say thank you for the expansive testing @c.oberschneider - I was curious after having scoured Reddit and MacRumors and now seeing your final solution getting very close to my holy grail (120hz gameplay and can live with scaled down resolution for that), your Lindy 32115 suggestion made me stumble upon the higher resolution version: Lindy HDMI 2.1 EDID Emulator which supports up to 7680x4320@60hz or 3840x2160@120hz with HDR...

I recently purchased the Club 3D USB Gen2 Type-C to HDMI Cable - 3M, 4K120hz, 8H60hz, HDR10+ with DSC1.2 - Active Cable in the hope that it would work by itself with my Studio Display XDR, it does not unfortunately, not with stripped down settings on PS5 (1080p etc etc).

But wonder if it might be a viable solution for higher resolutions and with 120hz based on your latest find? 🤔

Great to see that I'm not the only one trying to get the XDR work with the PS5!
I've also noticed there's a newer or more capable version of the Lindy EDID Emulator, but have not yet tried it. ChatGPT told me that the main reason I'm not getting 4K HDR to work with my current setup is that there's just not enough bandwidth available for this amount of data, and that a higher end EDID Emulator would not change that. But as it's always the case with AI - I have no idea whether this is correct or not. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I've finally managed to get 4K120Hz HDR to work with the PS5 on the Apple Studio Display XDR. I've made a detailed guide on another thread. I hope my solution can enable 4K60Hz HDR on the Apple Pro Display XDR as well.
