I love how they're okay with having eight models of the same product but can’t give us an iPhone Mini as a permanent member of their lineup. Why should I be forced to either have a phablet or a lower-performance, outdated model?

I literally don't know how people use these giant phones. I held one for about 5 minutes, and my hand was already cramped up.

Comments like these make me shake my head. It’s a mature tech now, how can it look “dated”? It’s a glass rectangle. Bright OLED screen. Exactly how does that look “dated”?
There is so much tech Apple could adopt foldable screens, no notches or islands, better wifi etc.

Instead Apple continues to choose to focus on the camera, and tiny twicks like dynamic island last year & the action buttion this year.

They have also adopted a subscription model like car crash detection. Whilst continuing to raise costs, this makes me to shake my head.

This is going to be a long 5-6 weeks of waiting agh. 😰
Which will disappear in a blink of an eye Before you realise it.
We don’t live centuries after all.
This is bad marketing. The consumer chip should not have the same naming convention as the Pro chip. No other chipmaker does that, and for good reason. They should move to M and X, or something like that. It would even allow the two to splinter even more than core count.
Marketing is the least of Apple’s worry, provided they can spin the new device into something earth shattering no matter what and millions would still line up pressing that preorder button right after the event ends.
This all but confirms Apples greed to make their consumers spend big for there latest tech.

I always prefer the pro max for my daily use. However for those who prefer to use smaller phones its a kick in the gut.

Apple is losing its 00’s Steve Jobs glow, the iphone design is becoming dated & ios is not fairing any better.

Worst of all the keynotes are getting boring, lacking guest appearances of the past & the lack of audience makes it feel zoned out.

I am keeping my fingers crossed the iphone 16 ultra can save the iphone with a new design overhaul and more focus on fine tuning ios.
You will be disappointed when next years iPhone 16 comes out, since nothing much new would come out of it anyways.

No wow = outdated.
So yeah. Same folks who thinks USB-C is dated just because it is a wire.

As if people in US not already subscribing into iPhone already. How many people actually own their iPhone and let iPhone upgrade program lapse Nowadays?

I think they meant vs android phones with smaller hole punches or entirely hidden sensors. I’d take the pill with Face ID over the more subtle approaches that require Touch ID.

I miss the live shows but I do not miss the guest appearances at all. Every one of them I have experienced has been agonizing (boring, bad speakers, lasts too long) and it completely destroys the pacing of the keynote.
I would much prefer nothing interrupting my display experience. Not even the camera. If they can’t put FaceID under the display, I prefer they put TouchID into the side button. It works fine. I would take a small display on the back to use with FaceTime calls and the real camera, too.

I would pay $1000 more to have no FaceID and no front display camera just pure screen. Give me the option Apple. I hated the notch. Dynamic Island isn’t better nor is it worse; they both suck.

Better yet, give me iOS and A17 inside a Samsung Ultra. That’s my perfect phone. I want iOS and I want the A17 SoC, but I want a big beautiful display that isn’t ruined by design language. Truly believe Apple could have all ready put FaceID under the display. The technology is ready. They could do it with the camera too for FaceTime calls. The reason they don’t is design language. Apple wants everyone to know that you are using iPhone. And that’s a terrible reason for us as consumers.

$5k for a free-world made iPhone with dual SIM tray, plus eSIM, no notches or dynamic islands, Qualcomm 5G, 120Hz Pro Motion, 5,000MaH battery, solid titanium back, with USB C charging and Thunderbolt speeds, 2TB SSD, and 16GB of RAM. Leave the mute switch but allow it to also be an action button when pressed. Give me a 10x optical zoom camera, and make the iPhone thicker so the camera lenses are flush with the back of the iPhone. Put a one inch screen on the back for FaceTime calls. Call it the Ultra. Or just use a Samsung Ultra and throw an A17 SoC and iOS on it and I would be happy if it’s made in Korea not a dictatorship/communist/military-ruled country.

Make this special edition and I will pay $5k and upgrade anytime they give me something to truly cheer for.

I guess my comments have caused a raucous. I am still holding out & keeping faith in the 16 pro max larger screen.

The degradation of battery health of my iPhone 14 Pro was obviously quicker than previous generations. This happened to some of my friends using the 14 Pro too. Not to mention the numerous accounts on Twitter..uhh X. Maybe this really has something to do with the battery quality, or a combination of both.
My 14 Pro is still at 100% and has the best battery life of any iPhone I have used so far. (I always buy the Pro version and never the Max)

Can you imagine, if the iPhone 14,1 was an iPhone 14 mini (the same as the 13 mini but with 6GB of RAM, crash detection, Bluetooth 5,3 and so on) and Apple discontinued the iPhone 12, 13 and 13 mini…

Can you imagine, the iPhone 14,9 being sort of an iPhone SE, with the body of an iPhone 14, and USB-C…

Can you imagine?

You could be on to something there, maybe Apple want to update both the Mini and SE to USB C in line with the 15 models for consistency. I can definitely imagine, but don't have too much hope for the Mini though.

heating issues haven't existed for my iPhone Promax 14 since its release. I use the magsafe charging etc. I use only Apple accessories. makes you think
Same here. I never had overheating issues so far, and my area just went through a heat wave.

There was one or two times I remember where the phone felt a bit warm, but it still ran fine.

I have tiny garden gnome hands and I much prefer the gigantic iPhone. But I also work out 6x a week, so my hand game is strong. I tried the small Mini for a while and the screen real estate was just driving me nuts. I really do think the Mini needs to stay in the lineup for those that prefer it, though. If they're not selling as well as the bigger phones, they should just make less of them. Both of my folks prefer the Mini as well as several other members of my family. People want the Mini, just not as much as the larger phones.

I have small hands, and I switched from a 12 mini to a 14 Pro Max. I got used to the large phone right away and I actually prefer the larger screen.

But yeah I understand that large phones are not for everybody, and I wish Apple understands that too. They should start making new mini iPhones again.

I was like you for over 10 years, hated the thought of big phones. Switched from an 12 mini to a 13 Pro simply because of 120Hz, switched to 14 Pro Max simply because of battery life.
I hated both sizes up for a week, then it clicked, now i dont want to go back. The big phones are such a step up in terms of everyday usage (battery, visability, typing etc…) but I think the mini still would be a great addition to the lineup and i think it will come back in a SE.

- I honestly think the mini was droped because it made people more likely to switch to something else. Hear me out. The iPhone is still the central component to Apples Ecosystem. Having a mini makes people use it less because of poorer battery life, they dont get sucked in as much, therefore not as addicted to the OS, therefore more likely not to buy other products, etc… It makes sense for apple to have their most vital flagship products be the very best it can be.

- Magsafe Leather Wallet really helps for 1 hand use on bigger phones, i just grab the wallet with the 4 fingers, so my thumb can use pretty much the whole screen.

The same trick again. But mind you, the A16 chip on the iPhone 14 Pro overheats quite a lot and consumes a lot of power, thus the poor battery life and health of the 14 Pro.

Observations and claims like this need a lot more context. For example, is it a 1st-party or 3rd-party app generally causing the overheating? That app could have inefficient code, or a bug creating excessive CPU cycles. Do you observe this overheating when doing something simple like reading a web page?

Also, screen protectors and cases can change the thermal dynamics of the phone, preventing heat from escaping as easily thereby creating more heat internally.

The size actually is my main complaint about current smartphones. I have Mi Max 3, which was the largest smartphone when it came out and still is the largest today. It already is five years old though no phones of that size came after that. So I have the choice of either keeping my outdated large phone, switch to a faster, but smaller one or spend a lot of money on a foldable phone. Why can't there be at least one manufacturer in the world that still produces large non-foldable phones? Isn't there a market for it? The problem today is that manufacturers only use the diagonal as a measurement. So there my still be 6.9 inch phones, but it is the width that counts for me. When scrolling through Instagram or using most other apps, the width is the factor that determines the size of photos, text and the on-screen keyboard.

So even the iPhone 14 Pro Max actually is actually too small for my taste. I never used smartphone one-handed. I use one hand to hold the phone and the other hand to type on it. In the Apple ecosystem my choice would probably be the iPad mini. That is even larger than my smartphone, but cheaper than an iPhone.

I trust very little on this site. then again it’s a fan site that’s what you get. Years of viewing these types of sites I take this with Little or none truth. People make their own assumptions people make their own accusations I just don’t take it serious from the site.
