The 14 Pro - besides its poor battery performance - is a rock-solid and high quality phone. The most stable and reliable iPhone I’ve ever owned. Can’t wait to get my hands on the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
You could try the iPad mini. Some people use it as an iPhone replacement. Phone calls are possible using a separate service/app.So I have the choice of either keeping my outdated large phone, switch to a faster, but smaller one or spend a lot of money on a foldable phone. Why can't there be at least one manufacturer in the world that still produces large non-foldable phones?
That’s not a trickThe same trick again. But mind you, the A16 chip on the iPhone 14 Pro overheats quite a lot and consumes a lot of power, thus the poor battery life and health of the 14 Pro.
The 14 Pro has better battery life than the 14 despite having an always on 120hz screen and the same sized battery. That tells me that the A16 is more power efficient than the A15.
I was wondering if maybe the 14,1 is a USB-C version of the 13 mini. Because if they don't make one, they'll have to discontinue it, at least in the EU, where the mini is slightly more popular than elsewhere. I'm not holding my breath, but who knows. Can you imagine, if the iPhone 14,1 was an iPhone 14 mini (the same as the 13 mini but with 6GB of RAM, crash detection, Bluetooth 5,3 and so on) and Apple discontinued the iPhone 12, 13 and 13 mini…
Same here, never overheats and my battery health is still at 100% nearly a year later on my 14 PMMaybe your phone has a hardware problem. I have never experienced such problems.
What are your charging habits and do you only use Apple chargers? My 14 Pro is still at 100% and has the best battery life of any iPhone I have used so far. (I always buy the Pro version and never the Max)
The degradation of battery health of my iPhone 14 Pro was obviously quicker than previous generations. This happened to some of my friends using the 14 Pro too. Not to mention the numerous accounts on Twitter..uhh X. Maybe this really has something to do with the battery quality, or a combination of both.
AFAIK, they still have one more year to adapt the lineup to USB-C in Europe, although I think in Arabia now they are required to do it as well and maybe they won’t wait as long.I was wondering if maybe the 14,1 is a USB-C version of the 13 mini. Are they using cheaper batteries?Um no. It’s simply cheaper batteries and Apple will be using even cheaper ones in the 15 Pro/Max. My 14 Pro Max has never overheated.
The pill cutout looks dated. Screen without any cutout is the way now.Comments like these make me shake my head. It’s a mature tech now, how can it look “dated”? It’s a glass rectangle. Bright OLED screen. Exactly how does that look “dated”?
Every solution has pros and cons. I think its important to look at what they are.The pill cutout looks dated. Screen without any cutout is the way now.
Or maybe they both are SE versions?I was wondering if maybe the 14,1 is a USB-C version of the 13 mini. Because if they don't make one, they'll have to discontinue it, at least in the EU, where the mini is slightly more popular than elsewhere. I'm not holding my breath, but who knows.
Right, USB-C is only mandatory starting end of 2024 in the EU, and beginning of 2025 in Saudi Arabia.AFAIK, they still have one more year to adapt the lineup to USB-C in Europe, although I think in Arabia now they are required to do it as well and maybe they won’t wait as long.
Rumors say otherwise (https://www.macrumors.com/2023/07/20/iphone-se-4-no-longer-expected-in-2024/), but who knows.Or maybe they both are SE versions?
From what I have observed, my 14 Pro Max having Sunwoda made battery is still at 100% health after 8 months and my wife's iPhone 14 Pro with Desay made battery is now at 88% in 10 months. It's anecdotal but I believe it's the Sunwooda batteries that have lasted better health-wise. My previous 13 Pro Max was also having Sunwooda battery and it had 98% battery health when I sold it after using it for around 1 year. The degradation of battery health of my iPhone 14 Pro was obviously quicker than previous generations. Can you imagine, if the iPhone 14,1 was an iPhone 14 mini (the same as the 13 mini but with 6GB of RAM, crash detection, Bluetooth 5,3 and so on) and Apple discontinued the iPhone 12, 13 and 13 mini…
Can you imagine, the iPhone 14,9 being sort of an iPhone SE, with the body of an iPhone 14, and USB-C…
Can you imagine?
I would like to see the mini back at the 16 and 17 models, and the plus staying to 14 and 15. Giving a break in cycle on the non typical device sizes. Can you imagine, if the iPhone 14,1 was an iPhone 14 mini (the same as the 13 mini but with 6GB of RAM, crash detection, Bluetooth 5,3 and so on) and Apple discontinued the iPhone 12, 13 and 13 mini…

According to CoconutBattery my 14 Pro battery was manufactured by Sunwoda, is 367 days old and is at 98.6% of design capacity. iOS settings Battery Health is showing it at 97% of maximum capacity so it looks like i got one of the good ones 😀From what I have observed, my 14 Pro Max having Sunwooda made battery is still at 100% health after 8 months and my wife's iPhone 14 Pro with Desay made battery is now at 88% in 10 months. Check the battery manufacturer using 3uTools on windows or Coconut Battery app on macOS.
Can't say I've had these problems. My 14 pro has 97% maximum capacity and I usually make it to the end of the day with 40%+ charge still remaining with the always on display on. What are you people doing with your phones, are you using it whilst keeping it on charge? The same trick again. But mind you, the A16 chip on the iPhone 14 Pro overheats quite a lot and consumes a lot of power, thus the poor battery life and health of the 14 Pro.
At this point, I think it's fair to say I have a proven track record. Unlike other "leakers," my source is purely the code. I don't have "inside sources" and such and I don't post rumors, just factual things that I see in the code.So posts like this are trusted? There doesn't seem to be a reference to the actual source. Since there's already a known sequence, anybody can just make up the next expected numbers and say they "found this", without actually providing proof.
I’d straight up trade in my 14 Pro for a refreshed iPhone mini with updated specs 🤩Can you imagine, if the iPhone 14,1 was an iPhone 14 mini (the same as the 13 mini but with 6GB of RAM, crash detection, Bluetooth 5,3 and so on) and Apple discontinued the iPhone 12, 13 and 13 mini…
