Should be under Settings - Apple ID - Family Sharing - Purchase SharingI get absolutely no option under Tweetbot in Subscriptions to share it with family.
I use gabIs there a better alternative? (One that isn’t part of the world’s largest data mining and person tracking company)
One time purchase is fine (which I and many people have also already bought). Problem here is SaaS.A: I don’t subscribe to software as a principle!!!
B: You just bought a $1,000 phone but you complained about a $6/yr app?
Repeat the above × ∞

That’s correct. I believe voting in polls hasn’t been added to the API yet.Polls show but it does force you to the official app to participate in the vote. Unless there's a method I'm missing.
Toot! is kinda fun, but yes, Tweetbot has a bunch more polish.I use Mastodon too and the functionality is impressive. Apps for Mastodon are all unimpressive however.
What do you think about Aviary? It looks like an interesting app to me, and there are versions for iOS and MacOS. However, on Reddit I read mixed opinions.I decided to bite the bullet and paid for a year. They are giving a week free and if you don't like it, you can not pay if you don't want to. First day I used it, I already like it for the high contrast text in dark mode and it is much more smoother. I do not like the original twitter app because I hate the ads and whatever they through at me. I have mostly all third party twitter apps (Aviary, twitterrific, and tweetlogix). I paid for all on Mac and iOS and now I think I will just stick to Tweetbot.
I don’t use it because it takes long to refresh the timeline and it doesn’t sign in on my Mac. It is second on my list. Tweetbot first then aviary. What do you think about Aviary? Absolutely disagree with this assessment. It’s fine, it’s a personal choice, but between their notification spam and love affair with their crummy algorithms, I much prefer Tweetbot.just use the damn official twitter app.. far better anyway
Fully Agree.itter client, no thank you lol This is getting ridiculous. Moving to a free Twitter ap
Feedback is important, and critical for the best services. Honestly the creator (a member on the forums here btw) does make a great twitter application, great artistic design as well, probably the best on any platform.Subscription?? Laugh. Delete.
app will end up like fantastical3 did.....
BTW - let them know your dissatisfaction on twitter
I'm okay with supporting Tweetbot but if it's subscription based I'm going to wait until feature parity with the official client before subscribing.
I was a Tweetbot user for many years before Twitter neutered the API and I went to the official client. Good to know it might be back as an option soon!
No thanks. The official app is fine.
Longtime Tweetbot fan and I understand and pay for app subs, but let's not forget that Tweetbot literally REMOVED functionality from paying customers because Twitter removed it from their APIs. So now that Twitter has an updated API, Tweetbot wants to charge a sub to get functionality back... eventually? And then what happens when Tweetbot 6 for Mac comes out -- two subs? Hard pass for now. They need to be much clearer about what is going on here.
Love Tweetbot. $6 a year is more than reasonable.
No thanks. The official app is fine.
Sort of. Safari VC, yes. Share sheet: you can tap share and then "Share via…", or you can long-tap share to get directly to that sheet.I have not used the stock Twitter app in ages. Does it support safari view and the iOS share sheet properly yet?
I used to use Tweetbot, but I apart from it not having all of Twitter's features (polls, group DMs, etc), I also found it was not showing all of my mentions. Not sure why,
and maybe they have fixed that,
Right. But as I use Twitter partially for work, not seeing all mentions was pretty much a deal-breaker, for an app that cost money - versus the free website. For years, Twitter Inc. halted development of their third-party API. So the short answer is: because it wasn't possible for Tweetbot to do that.
Yes; polls can be viewed now (albeit not yet voted on). Twitter has promised they'll prioritize API development again.
As Twitter rolls out new features, Tweetbot will add some of those.
Sure.Right. But as I use Twitter partially for work, not seeing all mentions was pretty much a deal-breaker, for an app that cost money - versus the free website.
As nice as the Tweetbot UI is, I can't see much point in it, especially not for a subscription fee.

MacRumors is worth it.Still $19.01 cheaper than the annual membership of MacRumors contributor.
