Bleh, don't like the new icon:

Twitter%20for%20iPhone%202.jpg

Good Lord, that's hideous. Looks like I'll have to SSH into my iPod and replace it with Tweetie 2's icon.

Here's how to get it now

All you need to do is go to the app store on your computer scroll to the bottom and click the circle with your countries flag in it, then navigate to the new zealand store. Then create an account on the new zealand store ensuring you do not put in any payment details (the app is free anyway) then make up an address and the post code is 4 numbers. Then type in twitter in the search and download. Simple as that but remember to change back to your own countries store when you are finished.

The only reason this would piss me off is if I paid for it and later Twitter made it suck like birdhouse. That would be wrong because I paid for the application to work a certain way and would be forced to upgrade to the crappy version. This isn't the case though, I downloaded it and nothing has been stripped like birdhouse.

Yep...just downloaded to my iPad and iPhone while dining on leftovers at lunch.

Not to be greedy...but where is the dang iPad version.

Sticking with Twitterrific until I see the iPad version. Twiterrific is actually pretty nice.

Just installed it on my iPhone, not showing yet on my iPad. Honestly very underwhelming "update". Didn't remember my account info from Tweetie 2. Same blah looking interface.

It showed on my iPad.

Also didn't remember my account info.

Completely agree on the interface.

Want an iPad version...sometime yesterday! :D

So this is not a "universal" app?

Just showed in updates on my iPad. Definitely not universal, and looks bad on iPad, text and graphics badly pixelated on x2.
x1 too much blank screen. Well guess I'm sticking with Twitterific on the iPad.

Looks like they removed multiple account support... I don't have multiple accounts, but I can see some people complaining.

Multiple accounts are still allowed. I'm currently logged into two accounts.

For some reason it downloaded for me. In the US here. I checked for updates. Twitter showed up and then I clicked on download all updates and it worked. Then I searched the app store and it's not listed. But been using it. Like the enhancements.

The UI is pretty Nice i thought they would dumb it down and make it like there mobile site like the droid app is but its laid out pretty well i could deffintly use that and ill keep simply tweet for other features and push.

There's no difference really besides it being free. The Quote tweet sucks. I might have to downgrade back to tweetie

using lists is a lot better than multiple accounts
It seems lists can only be accessed from "..." page, which is cumbersome and they are displayed in ugly @username/listname format. I prefer how TwitBird handles lists.

Also, still no push notification?
