hi, i've placed my order for the $20 discount code iphone 5 on friday, how long would it takes to receive my discount code? thanks

Well, bulky is pretty subjective, but our bamboo 5 case adds approximately 5.3 mm to the width, and 3.9 (3.2 paper case) to the thickness of the iPhone 5.

If you were to use a screen protector, it would need to fit within our bezel, which is 120.8 mm tall & 55.5 mm wide. No back or side protectors can be used with our case; the tolerances are just too close.

Sorry I didn't mean it, I just like the term bulky :D The cases looks nice actually, the bamboo looks good. I would get one if they sell here by the time I get my iphone.

And oh, I'm not sure about the size of the glass screen protector if it would fit you case sincen there are no indicated specifications on them. I would probably use SGP Glas.tR, ao would it fit your cases? :D

I'm afraid that's a 'you call the maker of the screenie', as there are a bazillion of them! I'm working on cases right now! ;)

I think maybe you got it? :D

Anyway thanks, so I kinda fancy The gate and the bunker design.. Which would you think look better?

oh so very soon. sooo veeerrry sooooon.

the "very soon" you're giving us over the past 4 weeks is getting old.
Between that and the confusion around the price (I am sure I am not the only one thinking the price would be $20 for those who preorder), I am getting less and less excited by the day...

So please give us a date so we can decide whether or not we're willing to wait that long.

Grove vs Twig

I have had a custom-engraved Grove case for my iPhone 4s......the only problem I found was the case bottom loosening after about 2 yrs..not bad. The new composite material should give an improved fit though.

I am however going for a Twig case this time round...my preorder is in and I like the matt black finish of the Richlite which should go well with my black iPhone 5.

Looking forward to it being available!

Please just give us a realistic go live date/time. Please.

How poor are they that have not patience! What wound did ever heal but by degrees?
William Shakespeare

I'm sure the Twig crew are working like crazy to get them cases out.......

It's not a question of patience, we may be willing to wait 2 weeks if that's what it takes. But getting the "so soooon" comments for weeks, it starts to feel as this thing is gonna come out when the iPhone 6 is released.

It's more a problem of communication, I don't like to have to check back here, their website, facebook, etc every 3 hours to make sure I don't miss the window for the first shipment, all that for a phone case.

If you tell me the thing will be live on the website in exactly 2 weeks at midnight, I would be fine with it.

apologies if you're not into the classics but it's only a iphone cover after all....:)

I know the frustration, first hand! Thanks to Hurricane Sandy, we're now waiting on tooling that is stuck in a UPS depot. Not happy.

This is exactly why I have kept the statements nebulous - I know all too well about promising, "Hey! This at this exact time!", and getting pushed back, through no fault of our own. It happened with the 4, and there's only so much prep you can do to minimize this, especially when something stupid like a tiny machine bit (it's literally the tinyest one, used to cut out our buttons) is stuck on a truck in Butterface, MA! :)

In addition, if you've ordered a pre-order, you're going to get a case in the order we got it. If you were early and got in early, had patience and hung in there, you're going to get a case earlier. If you don't have a preorder yet? GET ONE! You'll be happy about it. I promise.

We are small, (very!) I am the one who does 99% of internet stuff - while also still shipping 4 cases, working up the new designs, repairing our laser, etc etc, and occasionally mailing a photo to my wife so she remembers what I look like.

At the end of the day, we just want to make the best case, out the door, and in your hands as soon as possible! So please have some patience. We are hoping to have everything ready this week, in spite of stupid Sandy. :)

^This^

Too many of these case makers have been asleep at the wheel on the iPhone 5. The excitement is over...if your case isn't out yet, "then why not?" is a fair question.

There are plenty of other good cases out there. I don't fault anyone for waiting if this is what they want, but by the same token, I totally understand why someone would just move on...these delayed cases are simply too late to the party.

Thanks for the reply.

To clarify, I understand the challenge of a small operation, being an independent developer myself.
I understand things can take time, and often take longer than expected.

I just probably misinterpreted the 'very soon' comments over the weeks to mean 'a few days' rather than 'a few weeks'.
Had I understood that, I would have probably invested in a temporary case meanwhile, and came back and check on this a few weeks later.
Instead, I have been checking in here twice a day to check when I will finally be able to cover my phone with this case...

Anyway, I understand from this reply that things don't look great for this week, and that we still don't have a date. I am sure you'll be successful with these beautiful cases, but this will have to be without me, how do we get a refund on the preordering ticket?
