I miss the olden times when the id**ts had their own seperate communites and we called them flat earthers.
Only in your world, government offices, businesses and journalists made up large share. Being actually verified meant when contacting a customer service account you knew it was real. Now it could be a troll in moms basement surrounded by bottles of waste. Most of the people complaining are the rich entitled celebrities who don't want the checkmark available to peons like us
You liked the echo chamber version of twitter is what you mean.I miss the olden times when the idiots had their own seperate communites and we called them flat earthers.
There were literal nobodies with a checkmark, cause you just had to know the right people. That's all it took.Only in your world, government offices, businesses and journalists made up large share. Being actually verified meant when contacting a customer service account you knew it was real. Now it could be a troll in moms basement surrounded by bottles of waste.
Also how about they stop hiding certain people's tweets.Honestly, if Twitter went back to the good ole' days, where Tweets were sorted in order of time creation, that would help. As of now, I don't use it...
No I hate twitter. I meant online groups before social media. Like this forum and others that have existed for around 3 decades. You liked the echo chamber version of twitter is what you mean.
So, funny you say that. When I did log into the Twitter portal, as soon as I would log in, some posts would disappear. And, I could never figure out why. Here I was thinking it was just me...Also how about they stop hiding certain people's tweets.
I still use IRC, best platform ever.No I hate twitter. I meant online groups before social media. Like this forum and others that have existed for around 3 decades.
I’ll pass. You can’t competently run Twitter with half of its workforce fired.
You can tell how smart of a move this all was by Elon by seeing how upset his haters are.
How so? You're paying $8/month and still get the enjoyment of "half" the ads :/Great job Elon. Finally Twitter is back being the product instead of us….
No way on earth is a flurry of 8 buck sign ups going to offset the MAJOR advertiser losses:
Read this:
Twitter is just starting. It’s the only meaningful social network, the other ones are just for thotsEl-No.
Twitter is over.
It's just taken a while for most to realize this.
A smarter move would have been not to buy Twitter by rushing into the contract and then realize that he fk up. He knew that he was going to lose the lawsuit, so he was "forced" to buy it.You can tell how smart of a move this all was by Elon by seeing how upset his haters are.
Less butt hurt… More annoyed seeing idiots thrive on stupidity.Somebody’s butt hurt 😂
Galaxy brain logic. You can tell how smart of a move this all was by Elon by seeing how upset his haters are.
Because Elon is acting as if it's privilege to pay Twitter $8/month. And as a bone, you get half the ads. Oh and you get "priorities" over other tweets. That's pay to play.Amazing how up in arms people are over this. I would never pay the $8/month (nor care about having a blue check next to my name) but wow are people butt hurt over this and Elon buying Twitter. 🤣
When were those best days?Twitters best days are behind them
This sounds like a good thingTwitter as we know it is finished
Keep licking. Elon is not your friend. He made a mistake signing a $44B contract and then tried to get out of it. He knew he had no chance in winning the lawsuit. This is why Elon is the wealthiest man in the world. All of the whining aside, he cut the fat and is working to make the company profitable. It's not the twitter of 2011, the number of employees and the lack of revenue wasn't sustainable in 2022. A few celebrities and other whiners will leave, but the vast number of influencers won't go anywhere, their voice is too important to them. The few people that are uninstalling as a statement against Elon's business practices won't amount to much, sorry guys. I love how he made everyone come back to the office. That move alone will cancel out 25% of the workforce he fired. Sounds like Twitter employed a bunch of millennials. I've been laid off a few times in the tech industry and it's part of doing business and making the big bucks. Get over it and find something else. If you get another job inside of 90 days, you must made a bonus. Sheesh.
