Okay? LOL...Good luck with Tweet embeds, though! What. a. Mess.
Sorry to say the improvements since new management/ownership have been progressing at a VERY much improved pace vs the previous management which took more than 2yrs to bring editing of posted tweets which occurred ONLY to a select few.

That you cannot ignore. Tweet embeds? what do you mean quoted tweets? Each if having their own videos is pretty much manageable just like posts on MacRumors having varying videos - should not be hard which the end user wishes to play. Plus iOS determines auto play or not.

Still scratching my head over the Twitter hate… Other than verification, it’s literally the same app, with many of the same features from before. The biggest difference outside of verification is it isn‘t policed by the ‘your words are offensive so you should be banned’ crowd.

Any app that supports PiP is great for me. I use it a lot and actually watch quite a few videos on Twitter.

All these things are nice, but I'd only take out a subscription if he increased the number of mute words you get from 200, so you can hide more topics in your feed. It would be great if you could hide short tweets as well, like one word, or one emoji replies

This has to be fake, right?

Someone posted this on Mastodon, and if true, it just goes to show his miserable failure of a buyout is now officially circling the toilet bowl.

Has to be fake. No way is even he and his few employees left THIS incompetent.

Seems it's real.

Remember when a lot of people thought he was a genius? LOL.

Weren't you one of the people that said Twitter would just 'stop working' ?

I used to love Twitter, but this won't get me back.

Is it just me, or now you cannot read Twitter without logging into an account?

Can confirm you can no longer access Twitter without logging into a Twitter Account. Elon Musk really wants you to create an account now. No other way around it!

Requiring people to have and log into their Twitter account to read tweets is by design. It's so Twitter can limit the number of tweets users can read.

Guess they fired one too many people and are having trouble dealing with issues like outages. 🤣

It's also another way for Twitter to push people towards paying for a Twitter Blue account so they can get verified and be able to see more than 600 posts per day.

I stepped out of Twitter like ten years ago (when people still used it to talk about their daily and mundane tasks, not as a political polarization tool), and this is ensures I won’t come back.

To all wondering if the “rate limit exceeded” stuff is true. Yep. It’s been horrible all day and nothing is working how it should. Half the time the tweets load, half the time they don’t with that message showing instead. Elon is doing some really dumb things to the platform and I don’t expect it to last long at this rate.
